Draven arrived but he didn't do anything as he along with Baal waited for Gideon to calm down. Baal explained what happened and he was also confused, but he didn't ask.
Soon enough, Gideon pulled himself together, and that was when he noticed that Baal and Draven were staring at him causing him to blush from embarrassment.
But despite that, he made a decision deep in his heart that he would use this unique skills to the fullest.
...
Time passed and soon enough, the two siblings had arrived in the forest once more. But this time, they were in front of a small wooden house that looked no different from a cabin.
Draven let the two in and the interior was quite simple. There was a small dining table with three chairs around it. A small kitchen area near the table, and what looked like a fireplace. And there was a door leading to what they assumed was a bedroom.
"Have a seat." Draven gestured towards the dining table and the two didn't find anything wrong, so they went and sat down.
Draven went into the kitchen and picked up two cups and set in front of the two before carrying a kettle from the stove and then be proceeded to pour tea for the two of them.
They both nodded in thanks and sniffed the tea which had a slightly earthy smell before sipping out of it.
"I'm sure that you two are wondering what this training session is all about." Draven started and the two immediately payed attention.
"This time, it's going to be on acting." He said and the duo's eyes widened slightly.
"Acting?" They both said in unison and Draven nodded.
"That's right, at some point, you'll need to learn how to get close to people, gain their trust, and more importantly, you'll need to learn how to lie flawlessly." Draven finished and the duo nodded. It was also at that moment that Gideon felt nauseous while Victoria threw her head to the side an retched.
"For instance, I poisoned the tea and none of you two noticed any form of strange behavior from me, to you two, I've been acting the way I always have." Draven finished as Victoria wiped her mouth. Gideon was fine because he had poison immunity, but was still a bit nauseous.
"So this is the first thing you'll do, try to convince me that you're stronger than me. Let's say that we can't feel each other's auras and we are meeting for the first time or something. Gideon, try first." Draven asked as Gideon's nausea fully disappeared.
"Hmm." Gideon rubbed his chin for a moment before he nodded. He set himself and put on a slightly arrogant and confident expression as he looked down on Draven.
"Look, I don't know who you are, but I suggest that you go back to where you came from. My poison can-" But before Gideon could finish, Draven stopped him.
"Stop! Already your eyes don't even seem convinced by you own acting, you keep looking away. Moreover, your voice sounds more polite than everything else, not that of confidence. Lastly, you don't have that air of confidence around you." Draven immediately called out all of his problems causing Gideon's mouth to twitch.
"Do you wanna try again or should I let Victoria have a go." Draven asked, and after a moment of consideration, Gideon decided to let Victoria have a go.
Victoria nodded and thought for a moment before a sweet smile formed on her face and she looked at Draven.
"Big brother, you seem quite handsome, it's best that we don't fight otherwise..." Her smile immediately turned from sweet to cruel as her aura leaked out.
"You wouldn't want to go home with a disfigured face, would you?" Her voice was still polite, but her face gave of a different vibe.
Gideon saw this and unconsciously gulped. Who knew his sister would be so good at acting.
"Very good, if you had released you killing intent, then it would have been better. But only showing a bit of your aura is good too because you enemy would be forced to think that you power was much higher." Daven said while nodding in approval and Victoria pumped her fist. Before looking at Gideon, his eyes seemed to say 'Learn from her' which caused his mouth to twitch.
"Anyway, try again Gideon." Draven said and Gideon nodded.
This time, he first closed his eyes and got rid of his thoughts towards Draven on how he was his teacher and how he was much stronger than him. He then remembered how he looked down upon the guy who was causing problems with the crimson dragon guild and when he fought the purple lightning tiger.
After this, he opened his eyes and his entire being changed causing Victoria's eyes to widen and Draven's brows to rise, because now, Gideon's face showed no emotion, and yet his eyes screamed indifference. And if one ever noticed before, they would see that this is the face Gideon makes anytime he fights. Whether it was with the Basilisk, or the lich, or the lava gargoyle.
"I won't say much, but I suggest that you leave." Gideon's voice was filled with indifference, as if he was simply stating a fact. His body emitted absolutely no aura, but it gave off such an uncertain and uncomfortable feeling. It felt so real that for a moment, a very brief moment, Draven's eyes trembled as he nearly forgot that Gideon was acting and he nearly forgot that he could kill him with ease.
"Good, very good." Draven quickly said as he looked at Gideon with amazement. He thought that Gideon would get it after some tries after his first attempt, he didn't expect that he would do it almost flawlessly on his second try. Even Victoria was stunned.
"Nice." Gideon's face went back to normal as he smiled slightly upon his success. A stark contrast to how he was a moment ago.
"Anyway, we'll need to focus on other things besides that." Draven regained his composure and said. Though, he was still feeling a bit shocked in his heart.
'He cried because of his own talent. I'm really curious on how that works.' Draven thought before turning his attention to the two of them.
After that. They started working on other things such a as striking up a conversation without being suspicious. Gaining other people's trust. Feigning ignorance, and so on.
Time passed quickly, and soon, it was night time.
Draven let Victoria and Gideon sleep in his room which had a very big king size bed while he left saying that he needed to do something.
But after he left, Gideon didn't sleep or meditate unlike Victoria. Because as per request, Draven had gotten him three small rabbits. And they would be his guinea pigs. Why? Well, it was because after a few years, he was going to stick closer to his role as a poison mage, and create more poisons.
