"What do you mean she can't be charged?" My grandmother yelled, and both my uncle and I looked at each other as if silently confirming if we were actually hearing the same thing?

"Mother!" My stepmother exclaimed and my grandmother gave her a blank stare.

I couldn't believe what I was hearing honestly so I just walked out of the room, my grandmother yelling after me. Walking to my car I got in and revved the engine driving out, this family makes me want to do crazy things honestly.

My phone vibrated in my pocket and the caller was displayed on the screen, "uncle?"

"You need to get to Isabelle Byun immediately." He said and I frowned.

"What do you mean?"

"Mother has done the absolute worst, did you also know she was having an affair?" My brows furrowed, was that why grandmother was so antagonistic? I just thought she was overreacting as she usually did because she felt betrayed by Isabelle.

"What did she do?"

"Go to the hospital."
