Capítulo 19: It's my victory!
With a new vampire baron born... Instead of dying in 3 seconds we will die in 13 seconds! We will last 4x longer!
Laurel stared at us and said with fright "that... That beam!" she took more weapons and prepared for a horde... But nobody came... So i explained "I'm sad to say this but nobody is coming... Only vampires with noble blood and people 5 meters away can see it... And we're the only noble blood remaining in this world..."
Eiren looked at me in shock, "none... Left? Do we still have a chance!" i replied with a smile "yes... After all... I'm the descendent of the origin vampire."
Laurel cut off our conversation "enough chitchat... Well, that just means your more valuable!" then she charged at us.
Eiren tried to create a barrier but laurel saw this coming and threw a dagger at his shoulder, she jumped in the air and held a greatsword ready to smash us.
In one hand i am casting a fireball, in the other I'm casting a load of icicle shards then threw them at her.
It hit her but... She started fading... It was an illusion! I could feel the wind behind me move, i took my sword from my inventory and managed to barely block her attack, i was smashed to a wall but didn't go through, i could feel my bones get dislocated...
The greatsword she used to smash me broke in half, this gave me a split second to run away. She smirked and said "you wouldn't have gotten away if the order didn't give me crappy weapons."
When i escaped eiren tried to stab her back with what looks like a bone spike from what used to be his hands. But laurel saw this coming because she stabbed him with the broken greatsword before he could reach her.
Eriel spat out blood, but he still managed to scratch her shoulder, Eriel said "I've done all i can... Please... Run away!" Laurel removed her greatsword from him as Eriel crashed to the ground.
I fixed my broken arm, however i still can't use that arm, laurel was about to finish him off, but i charged at her.
Vampires can't die easily from getting stabbed! What's more the weapon she used isn't imbued by any holy power! I still have a chance of saving him!
All i could do was delay her from killing him, she hit me with the blunt side of the great sword and knocking me back, i was still moving so i stabbed my sword on the ground to stop the movement.
She stared at me, looking directly through my soul, smiling... Like a villain from the stories... But it isn't true... To humans she is the hero who saved thousands... But was turned into a vampire and was killed by her sister...
She was starred as a Saint, but for us... She's the reason of our extinction... Along with the gods! And the order! She said to me "watch..." i got up, she threw sword at me and i dodged.
However it suddenly turned... Impaling my right shoulder to the wall, with my left arm unusable and my right shoulder impaled, i couldn't move...
She continued "watch as your brethren die before you! While there's nothing you can do... And you'll be next..."
She grabbed a holy water bottle and poured it on her blade. It grew shiny and bright, i could slightly feel its heat from here...
She was gonna impale him when suddenly arrows started flying towards her, but... They just passed through her... But the thing is... This isn't an illusion...
She released all her power! She stared at me with anger, she shouted "you liar!!!" i smirked and said "i didn't lie... Remember when you smashed me to the wall? Eriel shot a signal flare to the air, indicating that there's a spy... And that the vampires shouldn't bring slaves..."
She said while arrows fly towards her and as she dodges them "your-lying! How could-theey! Find me this fast!"
My smirk grew bigger and then i said "you grew careless! Haven't you realised why i was so happy you got scratched?" she said "was it because you finally hit me?"
I chuckled then said "no... Of course a flare will only indicate that your nearby... But as you know, vampires are especially sensitive to blood... So when you got scratched, everyone nearby knew your exact location... This... Is my victory... Laurel!"
She stared at me and asked" how did you kn-" suddenly a whole army of vampires came trickling in, Laurel was forced to move to another location away from here, medics came and healed us, eriel hasn't woken up though...
The medics adviced me to go back to the battlefield to heal others with them. So i agreed, when we went to the battlefield... There were ashes... A lot of ashes...
Then 6 people around laurel, injured... From what looks like her comrades!, they are facing against a powerful particular vampire... He must be in charge of this place...
He was easily overpowered though and was sent flying, he must be fatigued... I walked up to him and healed him, transferring his fatigue into me.
He thanked me, he started to rush into the battlefield but i stopped him, others rushed in to fight them.
I did to him the same thing i did to erien, but it's different... Because he was stronger i could promote him into a count!
After a long time of fighting, healing, and using mana potions, we had finally won... But they spared Laurel...
I said to her "for your efforts I'll let you ask 3 questions!"
She replied "fuck you... Will you also turn me into a vampire?" i nodded my head in reply and said "that's the reason we spared you I'm afraid..."
She asked her 2nd question "are you really the last of the noble bloods?" i replied with a sigh and said "yes... We are..."
Then she asked her final question... "why are you so nice? I tried to murder your brethren in front of your eyes!"
Then after a short moment i replied "because I too... Am human... I don't want either side to fight each other because of some idiot gods and men in white robes!"
She laughed a little and said "your a lot different from other vampires..." i bit her neck, and she was surprised by it, but after a moment she started to embrace it and hug me.
Then she told me... "if i were to become a vampire... Can i at least? Be by your side... So i know... I... Am... Safe...."
She fainted, i a portion of her power and gained 22 levels and an extra skill. She might've been the enemy... But she's an ally now... I will protect her at all cost!
Suddenly i obtained a quest completion window that said "you have found the spies hidden in the hidden city! [unnamed] go to count syria for your reward!"
