Dmitri's Strike (10)

Leo is running towards the barn when he notices the distant sky. A yellow light is approaching his way at a rapid pace. Then another. And another.

The lights have multiplied into hundreds, heading towards the inn at full speed and soon, the birds will arrive with the fireballs. Leo does not waste a single second and runs at full speed. He breaks open the barn and looks around until his eyes fall at a corner.

A small boy of around five years old is hiding in the corner, shaking in fear. He is scared and murmuring his mother’s name.

“Come with me!” Leo exclaims and carries the child in his arms. The child shrieks, still scared of the stranger but Leo forces the boy into his arms and sprints off, just in time. As soon as he leaves the barn, the first fireball is dropped on it by a pigeon before rapidly flying away. The barn is ablaze with flames but Leo does not look back.
