Experiencing Ki exhaustion was truly annoying, I mean if you don't like feeling dizzy and nauseous at the same time, then you know how annoying it is. Perhaps because it was my first time, I felt it this bad, as I have seen in the show that the Z warriors go through Ki exhaustion all the time, and they easily pass through the phase.
All in all, it was a pretty bad experience, but the good thing is I recovered pretty fast, so thank you Magin Cells. Although this Semi immortality I have doesn't grant me the ability to regenerate after complete obliteration, it gives me the same quick Ki, Stamina, and Health regeneration as an Immortal Being.
If we think about it, recovering this fast during any fight is pretty much cheating, I mean just think about it. You are fighting a person, and you finally cause some serious damage or anything to the person in front of you, and he just regenerates himself then stands again to fight the now exhausted you, isn't that the most annoying thing during any fight.
I think we went a little off track right there, so let's get back to the track, shall we.
Even after I had recovered completely, Roshi didn't let me stand and made me rest on the recliner for an hour. Having nothing to do for an hour, I tried sleeping for the first time since I had come to this world. I knew that I didn't have any need of sleeping, and until now I was able to rest my brain with meditation. But I have got to say, I felt completely refreshed after that short nap. Maybe this was what Roshi was trying to teach me, the importance of resting properly.
Now back to the present, as the evening came, it was finally time for me to cook dinner for everyone. But Roshi denied me to do the work, as he was still not sure if I had recovered or not, the great master didn't want his student to work when exhausted, or maybe he was just afraid of some divine retribution. It was after I showed him that I could even perform 200 push-ups without even breaking a sweat, he agreed to let me work.
So after some thinking, I decided to make Hot Pot for Dinner.
"Mmm, Arlic, this hot pot so yummy," Turtle said while blowing air to cool down a piece of meat, "By the way, why is Roshi so upset right now,"
"Uhh, he-he, he's like this since I performed his signature move in the evening," I replied, "I, uhh, performed it by just seeing it once,"
"Ahh, you mean, you used Kamehameha," Turtle asked in shock and I nodded, "Hmm, I now understand why he's like this, you see, it took him 50 years to make that move,"
"And you just used it by seeing it just once," Turtle explained.
"Don't worry let me handle this," Turtle said and then looked towards Roshi and said, "Oii, Roshi do you want to know the location where I hid away your books,"
Roshi who was until now eating food with darkness surrounding him suddenly became energized and let out a big stream of smoke from his nostrils, "Yes, tell me where is it, I want it, tell it to me, give it to me, now,"
"I'll tell you after dinner," Turtle replied and Roshi nodded while letting out another big stream of smoke from his nostrils.
"See, this is how you handle Roshi," Turtle said, and I nodded with an awkward chuckle.
.
[Next Day]
I was doing some warm-up when Roshi came out of the house ready for today's session, I got up and went to greet him.
"Master, what are we going to do today," I asked with excitement.
"You're going to repeat whatever we did yesterday," Roshi explained, "And you're going to repeat it until your training here finishes,"
"What, then when will you teach me your techniques," I inquired as I wanted to learn everything he knows from him.
"Don't worry, I'll teach them to you every Sunday," Roshi explained, "Now, let's begin today's session,"
I nodded and then both Roshi and I left for the day.
.
[Sunday]
Today was the day when Roshi would start teaching me his techniques. I was standing under the shade of the tree waiting for Roshi to come out of the house.
"Dodge," all of a sudden I heard the voice of Roshi from above me.
.
[Bonk]
Before I could react I was hit on my head with a fist. It was Roshi, trying to teach me how to dodge. It all started on the second day of training. Roshi would come out of nowhere and attack me while yelling dodge, and the worst thing was, this bastard would hide his Ki and then attack me.
"You missed again, Arlic," Roshi said as he landed beside me.
"If only you would let me prepare before you attack, I would have time to dodge," I retorted while rubbing my head.
"Humph, excuses," Roshi spat, "Let's go it's time to practice,"
"Fine," I replied with a pout.
Then I followed Roshi to the open area behind the Kame house, where we have enough space to go all out without causing any damage to the house.
"Alright, Arlic, tell me what do you wish to learn first, fighting techniques or Ki techniques,"
"I would like to learn fighting techniques first," I replied as I can just copy his Ki techniques by watching them once.
"Hmm, fighting techniques heh," Roshi Repeated, "Hmm, what should we begin with, drunken fist, nah, too young,"
"Oh, I got it, you wanted to learn killing techniques right, then let's begin with that," Roshi said with excitement.
Roshi then took a stance very different from his regular one, and said, "This technique is called Phoenix eye fist,"
"Now, this technique is not an assassination technique, however, if used properly can be used to harm the vitals of your enemy," Roshi said to me, "Now, take the form and follow my steps,"
I nodded, and then went and stood 5 metres in front of Roshi. I took the same stance as Roshi and directed all of my focus on Roshi to copy all of his moves.
"Okay, follow my lead," Roshi said seriously, "And make sure every and every move,"
I nodded and then started copying the moves Roshi was performing.
.
[4 hours later]
Copying Roshi's moves was not that difficult, although my Mimicry ability is limited, it is still helpful in these kinds of scenarios. After continuously practising the martial art technique for 4 hours straight, I have copied all the moves of Roshi's Phoenix eye fist style.
"To think you would be this much talented in Martial Arts," Roshi said to me, as he was shocked at me perfectly copying his every move.
"He-he, it's nothing more than just a gift from the god," I said, giving credit of my powers to the unfathomable being up there.
"Oh, it's already noon, Turtle must've prepared something for us to eat, let's go take a small break," Roshi said to me.
"Sure," I replied and both of us went inside the house to have lunch.
.
[1 Hour Later]
After a nice lunch and a small afternoon nap, Roshi and I are facing each other on the ground behind his house for my next training session.
"What are you going to teach me now, Master," I asked with excitement.
"Hmm, if we go with this same pace, I think in just a month or two, I'll have no techniques to teach you," Roshi said with a chuckle.
"Let's take things slowly and keep practising Phoenix eye fist until you are at least able to use the moves on others," Roshi said to me, "Right now, you just know how to perform them, but you don't know where to point them,"
"Therefore I'm going to teach you about the vital points of a human body," Roshi explained, "Follow me,"
Roshi then started walking towards the forest, and I followed behind.
He stopped in front of a tree with a thick trunk, "Hmm, this one seems right,"
Roshi then took out a marker from his pocket and then started scribbling on the tree. He had drawn a human silhouette on the tree, then drew small circles on some points.
"These are some of the vital points on a human body, and I want you to practice the technique on this tree," Roshi said while pointing at the tree.
"By the way control your strength, as I don't want you to uproot this tree," Roshi explained, "But you have to use enough strength to shake the tree,"
"Hmm, that's a little hard, but I'll try my best," I said while trying to come up with a plan.
"Alright, get in the form," Roshi said to me, and I took the stance.
"Attack," Roshi yelled,
"Haah," I attacked at the neck, but the tree didn't move,
"Again,"
"Haah,"
"Again,"
"Haah," this time the tree shook a little as a dry leaf fell.
"Hmm, Again," Roshi said while nodding, as he understood my plan.
"Haah," I attacked again, and used my plan to slowly increase the force, this time the shaking was visible on the tree for a small instance, and that was enough for me and Roshi to notice.
"Again,"
"Haah,"
.
[4 Hours Later]
After continuously attacking the tree for two hours, Roshi stopped me and then notified me that it was time for my daily studies. Although I remembered the education I received in my previous life, the education of this world was kind of advanced, so I was enjoying the new things I was learning. The best thing was that Roshi was teaching me everything he could, unlike how he only taught the basics to Goku and Krillin, it was probably because he didn't want to hold back while teaching the pupil of Kami.
After a long one-hour study session, it was finally time to end the schedule of the day. So Roshi and I are currently resting on the recliner, ending the day with a nice little nap.
"...Arlic… Oii… Arlic," I woke up hearing a voice.
"Huh, what," I replied while rubbing my eyes.
"Arlic, it's already evening, we have to start preparing for dinner," I heard the voice of Turtle.
"Huh, evening," I mumbled and then looked towards the ocean and saw that the sun was setting, "Oh, right it's already evening,"
I stood up and then looked at Turtle, "Let's go, Turtle,"
Coming inside the Kame house, I looked at Turtle and asked, "What do you think we should make today,"
"Hmm, we have some meat, and noodles, how about we use them," Turtle suggested.
"Hmm, you're right, let's make some Ramen then," I replied with a smile.
Turtle and I then got ourselves busy making Dinner.
.
[Sometime later]
"We should open a food stall once or twice a week, I'm sure we're going to make millions if we sell your food," Roshi said while slurping the noodles.
"By the way, how's your pottery training going," Roshi asked me.
"Hmm, it's going great, I've become so good at pottery, Mr Aki has added me to the group that creates personalized items," I explained.
"He-he-he, that means more money," Roshi mumbled in a very low voice.
"Huh, what did you say, Master," I asked him, as I couldn't hear his words.
"Ho-ho-ho, nothing I was just saying that, it's great that you've become so good at pottery," Roshi said while rubbing the back of his head.
"I don't think that's what you were saying," Turtle asked Roshi with suspicion.
"Piii Piiii," Phoenix chirped at Turtle.
"I know Phoenix, I don't believe him either," Turtle said to Phoenix.
"Ho-ho-ho, you guys shouldn't doubt me, why would I take advantage of little Arlic," Roshi said with a laugh.
"Pii," Phoenix chirped.
"We never said you are taking advantage of Arlic," Turtle asked while narrowing his eyes.
Roshi quickly drank the broth and put his bowl down, and then rubbed his bloated belly, "Oh-ho-ho-ho, Silly me, it seems I ate too much, I'll go out for a walk,"
"He's certainly acting fishy," Turtle mumbled suspiciously.
