Capítulo 196: Chapter 193: Leaving the village (Part 2)

With a deep breath, Homura decided to join his teammates at the village gate, ready to face whatever trials awaited them on their journey. The massive doors swung open, revealing the road leading outside the village, flanked by two dense forests.

"The outside world" Homura murmured to himself as he saw the village giant gate leading to the outside world, for a second it seemed that the blue sky was brighter outside for some reason, but he quickly snapped back as he noticed someone he knew also approaching the main gates.

It was Uchiha Sasuke.

Another look to his right and he caught sight of Naruto rushing towards the gate as well.

As Homura arrived at the gate just in time to see Naruto and Sasuke making their way towards it. Naruto dashed further ahead, excitement evident on his face as he gazed at the open road leading outside the village.

"Wow, we're finally going outside the village!" Naruto exclaimed, his enthusiasm palpable. "I've been waiting for this moment!"

Homura observed Naruto's excitement silently, making no comment. Inwardly, he found it curious that Naruto was punctual this time.

Homura looked at Naruto with a slight amount of confusion, wondering how a ninja from the academy was seemingly unable to hide his emotions .

As a reader, Naruto's carefree attitude may be endearing but as a shinobi, it was dangerous.

At least in Homura's case, that much was true. Due to being aware that this mission was far more that a simple about escorting some old carpenter back to his home town.

But despite his reserved demeanor, Homura felt a similar anticipation bubbling within him.

He was finally about to leave the village, he had been confined to a tiny section of the land of fire, no, of the entire world. There was so much to see and so many places to be explored.

Like his teammates, he had prepared his backpack for the journey ahead, though he knew that with Kakashi's presence, attempting to send out a shadow clone to scout ahead was futile.

Sasuke approached more casually, his demeanor cool and collected as usual. "Still no sign of Kakashi?" he inquired, glancing around.

Homura smirked slightly. "This time it probably won't take five hours like last time… maybe," he remarked, a hint of amusement in his tone. Sasuke's irritation at the reminder was evident.

As the genin approached the main gate, a man approached them. It was Tazuna, the bridge builder. He inquired if they were looking for their teacher, Kakashi. The boys were initially surprised by his presence, but before they could respond, Kakashi himself appeared.

"Good, you're all here on time, good job. Some that's some good ninja work," Kakashi said, his gaze sweeping over the assembled genin.

"Why would that be some good ninja work?" the three genins wondered with skeptic looks on their faces.

It was something Kakashi did, praising the genins for seemingly random things every time he showed up late for anything.

In other words, those were empty praises with no real meaning behind them, but simply nonsense to deter gullible genins from acting up.

Nonetheless, the current genins were already tired of such types of pandering.

Homura moved to stand in front of Kakashi, joining the others in formation.

Tazuna, the bridge builder, interrupted with a remark that didn't sit well with the genin. " Were there really no better ninjas to protect me on this mission?" he began, but the genin chose to ignore the comment, their focus on the task ahead.

Kakashi, unperturbed, reassured Tazuna. "Although the they are quite young, they are certified ninjas who graduated from the ninja academy," he explained calmly.

Sasuke couldn't resist adding a touch of smugness. "Hmph, although someone failed to graduate many times," he remarked casually.

Naruto, overhearing Sasuke's comment, bristled with anger. "Hey! Who are you calling a failure?" he exclaimed, ready to defend his honor.

Kakashi intervened before Naruto could escalate the situation further, delivering a swift reprimand with a gentle fist to the head. "Settle down, Naruto," he said calmly, his eye crinkling with fatigue.

"I's going to be one of those missions, isn't it?" Kakashi wondered as he let out a sigh.

Turning his attention back to Tazuna, Kakashi suggested they proceed with introductions. "It might be a good idea for everyone to get acquainted," he said with a small smile or at least what could be interpreted as one with more than half of his face being covered.

"Grr! you better watch out Sasuke!" Naruto grumbled under his breath, muttering words of complaint as he reluctantly stepped forward. "I'm Naruto Uzumaki," he introduced himself proudly, a mischievous smirk playing on his lips. "And one day, I'm gonna be Hokage! Believe it!"

Tazuna raised an eyebrow at Naruto's bold declaration, his skepticism evident. "Is that so?" he remarked dryly, his expression unreadable.

Next in line was Sasuke, who introduced himself with a calm demeanor. "Uchiha Sasuke," he stated simply, offering no further information.

Tazuna regarded Sasuke with interest, his calm demeanor somewhat disarming. "Uchiha Sasuke," he repeated, as if mulling over the name.

Finally, it was Homura's turn to introduce himself. With a brief nod, he stated his name. "Homura," he said simply, his expression impassive.

Kakashi, noticing Homura's reluctance to share his full name, This earned him a fist to the head from Kakashi. "I thought I managed to dodge it." Homura thought as he scratched the spot where he got hit.

Homura sighed inwardly, realizing he couldn't avoid it any longer. "Homura *******," he said reluctantly, his tone resigned.

Naruto's eyes widened in shock at the revelation of Homura's full name. "Wait, what?" he exclaimed, his disbelief evident. "I've known you for years, and you never told me that you had a last name!"

Homura shrugged, unfazed by Naruto's surprise. "Why not? You're orphan too from birth, and you also have a last name, besides It's not something I like to talk about," he admitted, a hint of reluctance in his voice. "…yeah, it's true…but I still find it hard to believe it," Naruto uttered.

"*sigh* here. " Homura flashed, his ID at Naruto, who stared at it incredulously.

Homura went on to mention that he hadn't written his last name on his ID; it had been added by the central office because he technically was adopted by the father at his orphanage since he had been named by him and born in Konohagakure. But it wasn't what one could call a real adoption, but Homura didn't elaborate further.

As the tension eased, Kakashi decided to introduce himself. "I'm Kakashi Hatake the leader of the current team 7, and a jonin of Konohagakure," he said, his tone matter-of-fact.

Tazuna's eyes widened in surprise at Kakashi's rank. "A jonin..." he murmured to himself, clearly surprised.

Though he didn't seem to elaborate on that thought any longer.

Turning to Tazuna, Kakashi waited for the bridge builder to introduce himself.

"I'm Tazuna, master bridge builder from the Land of Waves," Tazuna replied proudly.

Naruto couldn't resist making a sarcastic remark. "Master bridge builder? What kind of profession is that?" he quipped, earning himself another bump on the head from Kakashi.

After the introduction, the party hurriedly exited the village gate, embarking on their journey with an air of nonchalance. Homura and Naruto, in particular, engaged in a lighthearted conversation.

"You know I don't want to brag, but I've defeated the third hokage before, if you think about it I am already stronger than the old man, "Naruto stated in a nonchalant way.

"Yeah, right. There's no way you'd ever be able to take out the hokage, you still pissed because you know who doubted you could ever be a ninja?, " Homura asked, clearly avoiding mentioning Tazuna by name.

"As if! I know I am great, and I defeated the old man using my sexy jutsu! " Naruto nudged his companion with an excited grin as they walked along the forested road. "If wanted even defeating Kakashi sensei would be nothing hard for me, wanna see?" he said in a low tone avoiding to let Kakashi to hear it.

Homura chuckled, shaking his head. "Right… the jutsu where you transform into a busty woman…Well, he is a pervert…so that might actually work… Nah, not really my style. Besides, that's a bit too flashy for my taste, you understand very little what makes a woman truly shine, such a child. Tsk, tsk,"

Naruto raised an eyebrow. "What? A naked approach would definitely catch some attention! I have defeated the old man with it! The old man!"

"Sure. Defeating an old pervert, with a perverted technique, you're practically trying to give the old man a heart attack, don't you think it's a bit cheap? Even for a shinobi, you need to sell a fantasy, something they didn't know they wanted," Homura countered. "I'd go for something cute yet risky. Subtle, but still impactful."

"Yeah, right! Watch this! Sexy jutsu! " Unwilling to be outdone, Naruto performed the Sexy Jutsu, transforming into an older, gender-bent version of himself. As a blond woman with whisker marks on her(?) cheeks and long twin tails, she blew a kiss while coyly saying, "Come on, Boya!" as a smoke cloud covered her private parts.

"Naruto…it's sad that you've listened nothing of what I said, but now I will have to teach how a genius does things!!!! Sexy Jutsu!!!"

Before Naruto could respond, a cloud of smoke enveloped him, revealing Homura's transformation into a beautiful woman, holding a beach ball. "Hehehe! Come play with me, handsome," With a flourish, he performed the Sexy Jutsu, transforming into an elegant brunette in a pink bikini, striking a playful pose with the .

Sasuke, walking a few paces ahead, rolled his eyes at their antics. "…*sigh* (these two morons)," he muttered under his breath.

Tazuna, the bridge builder, raised an eyebrow at the sight. "Are these really the certified ninjas from the village?"

Kakashi chuckled, his single visible eye crinkling with amusement. "Haha…something like that… You get used to it after a while."

"you stole my jutsu!" accused Nartuo.

Homura rebutted, "It's just a transformation jutsu. Any ninja could do it at any time they wanted, idiot! Bwe!"

Homura had practiced using the Sexy Jutsu diligently, considering it good practice for mastering transformation techniques. Transformations were trickier than they seemed, requiring concentration and skill.

Naruto argued for awhile longer until Kakashi was forced to stop the two boys, who transformed back into their true forms after a physical reminder of their sensei.

As they continued walking, Naruto and Homura found themselves nursing sore heads, courtesy of Kakashi's corrective measures.

"Ow! What was that for?" Naruto protested, rubbing his skull.

Homura shot him a playful glare. "Who knows…(I can't believe I stoop down to his level, something must be wrong with me, )"

Naruto grumbled in response, but quickly changed the subject. "Hey, do you ever think the outside world is this empty? It feels like we've been walking forever."

Homura glanced around at the endless expanse of trees. "Yeah, it's kind of eerie…in some ways"

The fact they hadn't seen any people around all this time was bit strange, even animals were far and few, since they were heading to the land of waves they did not take the major routes but instead a rather empty route, still to think there was almost no traffic from that side was quite strange. Konohagakure may be a village for ninjas; at its core it was still a high tech and trade hub.
