Capítulo 7: 7. Something happened to your girlfriend
Day 4.
One day later, it was their fourth morning on the island.
Aria's eyes snapped open in a sudden.
The sound of a plane?
She quickly shot on her feet sleep quickly disappearing from her mind. Her green eyes shining with ecstacy, her heart was greatly pounding against her chest.
The roaring sound of the plane was suddenly music to her ears. She had longed to hear it for the past four days!
" H... hey guys wake up! A plane! Hurry up and wake up. Help! Help! "
She dashed to the open beach jumping up and down frantically as she waved her hands to the plane that was hundreds of miles above the sea. Her face shone with both hope and expectation.
" Help! Please help... "
Her eyes dimmed as her voice slowly lost its vigour.
" It's okay, it's too far. "
Xander's low and hoarse yet gentle voice rang in Aria's ears as she collapsed on the ground in a disheveled heap.
For the first time she felt hopeless and defeated.
Dropping on her knees she shed one single tear as she faced inescapable emotional defeat.
What had she done to deserve all that had happened in her life?
She needed answers.
" I'm going to take a walk. "
She took a deep breath before her red eyes quickly swept past the two guys. She rose on her feet and walked away. She needed some time alone.
" What the f*ck! "
Aria loudly cursed when she suddenly slipped and fell on a muddy puddle.
She had been walking distractedly inside the woods when a small monkey suddenly appeared on her path out of nowhere. She was too startled that she tripped herself and fell only to fall on the mud!
Her white t-shirt and some parts on her pants were filled with mud. Some even splashed on her face and neck. And worse, the damned monkey seemed to be taunting her. Before she could grab a dried tree branch to throw at it, the monkey instantly disappeared above the trees leaving the dirty woman wreathing in fury.
Feeling dirty and uncomfortable, she headed to the stream. She needed a swim anyway to cool her from the burning solar and to relax her juggled mind.
" Your girlfriend has been gone for hours, aren't you afraid something happened to her? "
Qin Cheng suddenly asked Xander a playful smirk lingering on his face.
Aria had been gone for more than 3 hours. Everything that had happened was too much to take in thus when she said she needed to be alone, they hadn't planned on following her.
Xander laughed lightly without correcting him. He knew he was just teasing him.
" What can happen to her? "
" She left in a bad mood what if she harms herself? "
Qin Cheng shrugged his shoulders. The two were fishing for their supper in the shallow waters of the sea using sharpened long sticks.
When Xander heard what Qin Cheng had said, a line formed on his forehead. He had thought so too. Aria had left in a bad state of mind. He had wanted to chase after her but stopped on his tracks. She needed time alone.
" I'll go and look for her. "
Qin Cheng nodded at him before continuing with his business.
Using the fishing stick for support, Xander didn't have to search farther before he spotted the brown haired little woman by the stream.
" Are you feeling better? "
Aria was suddenly startled but soon relaxed when she saw the man.
After having a bath and wiped her clothes off the mud though not fully cleaned, she sat by the stream waiting for her long wavy hair to dry naturally with the help of the sun.
" I guess I am... a little. "
She gave him a faint smile and nodded before averting her gaze.
Xander sat next to her his devilishly handsome face revealing a demonic smirk. He stared at Aria's face with no attempt to hide his actions. His dark eyes watched her intently and no matter what she did she was unable to avoid his eyes.
She felt his gaze burning her furiously on the forehead. Aria finally could not take it and asked,
" what is it?"
She frowned a little in dissatisfaction.
Why was the guy suddenly acting like a hooligan?
" Hhm... nothing. "
