Time passed by as I grew under Edith's guidance.
I still haven't started my 'Magic' practice, as Edith was afraid that I'd hurt myself.
Talking about myself, I'll turn four tomorrow. These past years were really exhausting.
I tried to summon those wings of mine, but I couldn't. I don't understand how I had done it just as I was abandoned or being attacked.
I thought of putting myself into extreme situations but I shook those ideas off. Thinking about my past life, filled with blood and sleepless nights with extreme tensions. I really want to enjoy this new life of mine.
Edith's & my relationship was more like brothers and sisters rather than being the mother and son that she claimed she would be.
I was able to talk fluently and do complex stuff to the surprise of Edith, but later she just waved off that these were common for the babies born of the supernatural origin.
I asked her to train me, but she always denied it and would just tuck me in my bed singing a lullaby, patting my head.
This bonding is something I really cherish. Compared to my last life where I had to think multiple times before expressing my thought, caring for the wellbeing of all my citizens, Now I just had to care about Edith's happiness.
Although I gave up the crown, I have a hunch that I'd be bearing the unimaginable weight of the crown once again in this life. But this time I'd make more time for my 'family'.

Another year passed and I turned five years old.
During this year I could finally feel the trace of magic within me.
It felt like condensed liquid. Smooth, cool, and turbulent at the same time.
Edith had also started my physical conditioning for a while now. But she barely has time to spend with me.
This all started with my ideas for increasing her influence.
I gave her some tips to start a business empire or a mafia family, but she actually started to do both of them at the same time.
As a person who had experienced this, I must say that this would be extremely exhausting.
To build a business you'd need capital, manpower, ideas, trust between the partners even though they might be traitors later, and finally fucking control over everything asides from the connections built for performing the business transactions.
Coming to the mafia, the process is even more fucked up, there are three things you require which are a must, Loyalty, Bravery, and being True to oneself. Money and manpower come later in the aspect of the mafia. The next thing would be training each member of the family and paying wages so that they can lead their own families.
Hence, She has been really busy in the past year.
She named the company 'Morningstar Inc' and the mafia family 'Hendrix'.
So we finally decided that the current scope for the company would be the transport industry, much more like the automobile industry. It has a heavy initial investment but in the long term, the returns are really high.
Just think, almost everyone would be using your transport services, later if this were to be evolved to the supernatural world, you could monitor almost everyone, but this would be difficult yet possible in the long run.
The next would be the entertainment sector, to influence the masses through culture from films, songs, TV shows, and comics.
Due to the pleading of my son, I had to read some the comics and watch some movies with him in my previous life. This had given me the idea to invest in this sector and later used this multimedia industry to expand my influence throughout the empire.
On the other hand, the mafia's principal activities are settling disputes among other criminals, protecting them against each other's cheating, and organizing and overseeing illicit agreements, often involving many agents, such as illicit cartel agreements in otherwise legal industries.
On Organization that works facing the bright side while the other is on the grey side of the society.
As for the darker side, I don't have an interest in it just yet.
It was in my bones to conquer, although I thought was leading a simple life this time. My mind always starts designing a number of ways to make others submit to me.
Just like in my previous life, I already know that my death would have caused many waves making people sad, jealous, angry, pity, and all other emotions. But one thing was permanent, people would remember me forever.
I think this feeling to dominate the world is, even more, ever since I had come to this world, I had always trusted my instincts hence, I would just go along with it.
It was really hypocritical of me as for one I wanted to lead a life filled with peace, on the other hand I wished to conquer the world once again.
Coming to the supernatural side of this world, Edith explained to me that gods are alive, mythical beings like dragons & Pheonix exist, and different races ranging from angels to devils walk among us.
It amazed me how different things here are compared to my previous life.
She explained the features of different races and beasts as far as she knows.
She stated that humans or hybrids could possess sacred gears, that provide special abilities to its holder. But there is also a class of the sacred gear known as Longinus, that are in the league of their own, and each one of these Longinus has the capability of slaying a god if used efficiently.
In this world, there are 13 registered Longinus and most of the others are unregistered, registered means that one can know its host through the god's system while the unregistered are difficult to find yet have an astonishing history of their own.
And she is the holder of one of the unregistered Longinus - Gear of Apocalypse, which is well versed in combat and battle-oriented magic with an affinity to space and shadows.
She also informed me about various human organizations and youkai's existence and how they operate.

Another year passed and I am six years old now.
The magical power within me has been increasing exponentially, I almost thought I wasn't a human. I mean I thought that I might be a hybrid but I mean even if I didn't exercise my magic in the two past years they have been growing constantly.
Edith also understood and she said that she'd ask someone for advice whom she trusted.
I know whom she trusted aside from me, she calls him, 'Pervert Birdman', Although I learned that this man's name was Azazel and was the main leader of the fallen angels.
Instinctively I started to feel insecure whenever she talked about him, I mean he was the one who had provided us with lots of capital but asked nothing in return.
But what relived me was that Edith told me that she views him as a father figure, and that person treated her the same way a father would treat their daughter, which confused her even more.
I had to agree that although I had not met him in person, he was someone who had been taking care of us ever since we started to lay the foundation of the business and mafia.
I had a hunch that we'd be meeting each other very soon.
