Chapter 33 - Preliminary End
As Gaara was going back to Naruto jump down to check on Rock Lee while Genma called for the medic team who started examining his condition, then he one of the medic told Guy that Rock Lee condition was too grave and that he can't be a ninja anymore.
Hearing that Naruto has an outburst but was soon calmed by Kakashi, meanwhile Ren was reassuring Sakura who is now worried about Ren as his situation is similar to Rock Lee ones, but he calm her and says "Calm down Sakura, if the opponent is too strong I'll give up, but right now the only one remaining are Choji who is a friend and we won't fight to seriously hurt each other, and that Oto guy that attacked you... he is kind dangerous but it's not a problem if I'm careful"
As the medic team took away Rock Lee and Kakashi, Naruto and Guy went back to the upper level of the arena, Genma announced the start of the last match and so on the scoreboard the last pairing came out.
Kinuta Dosu vs. Haruno Ren
Seeing that Genma announced "As the last pairing has been decided, the remaining contestant Akimichi Choji will directly pass to the final phase of the exam, now both fighter come here"
And so Dosu and Ren stood in front of each other, and Dosu immediately notice how similar Ren is to Sakura so he start taunting "Well I guess I'll skip the playing and end it quickly for you and then take care of that pink haired bitch"
Ren look at Dosu for a few second with narrowed eyes the says "Ok I have decided, I had sealed that jutsu because it was too cruel but for you I'll make an exception"
And while Ino,Choji and Sakura cheer for Ren, the referee says "Begin"
Soon Dosu starts attacking Ren with is right arm but ren knowing the danger jumps back and all Dosu it is the floor but soon after the sound wave released was able to lightly hit Ren making him a little dizzy.
'Ok backing away doesn't help much as the sound wave is fast even if it gets weaker the further away, let's try get closer instead'
Meanwhile Kakashi ask the until now forgotten Ren's sensei Gekko Hayate "Hayate why does Ren not draw his sword? And what about that sealed jutsu? From what Sakura told me her brother is only good at kenjustu" and hearing Kakashi question he replies "*cough*cough I do not know anything about this sealed jutsu, and for the sword he can draw it at any moment but i do not think he need it he isn't even using his footwork yet let met tell you that when he use it he is as fast as Rock Lee without the weight"
As they were talking Dosu again run toward Ren while saying "Is running away all you can do?" and as Dosu opened his right arm wide preparing to attack again at that moment Ren used a Shunpo to appear right in front of Dosu, grab his arm and put Dosu in a standing arm bar lock then say "If you can't swing this arm, you can't produce sound right? Well now it's time to start to regret attacking my sister"
Ren then lightly rise his right leg and say "Konohagakure Hiden Taijutsu Ōgi(Konohagakure Hiden Secret Taijutsu Technique)" and with strong force he turn his body and does a knee strike "Kurumiwariningyō(Nutcracker)" and hit Dosu right in the nether zone.
Then Ren calmly move away and look at the result, Dosu remain standing with the white of his eyes showing and a soundless scream on his face, then unconsciously the hand move to cover his lower half as he fall first on his knees and then face first into the floor and stood there twitching from time to time.
At this moment every remaining male ninja had covered his own lower part with a cold sweat running on their back the only exception were Orochimaru, and Gaara that had a strange sadistic glint in his eyes.
In the stand Kakashi gave a fearful look at Hayate and said "Now I know why he said he sealed that jutsu no man would like to receive that one blow no matter what" and Hayate-sensei for once didn't cough and just nodded while Naruto whispered to Sakura "Sakura-chan your brother is scary..."
After a period of silence the referee Genma composed himself went to check on Dosu and then declared "The winner of the 11th match is Haruno Ren, and with this the preliminary for the final 3rd test has been completed"
After that all the winner of the preliminary stood in front of the Hokage and the examiners and the referee Genma gave his congratulation for passing the gave again the word to the Hokage who said "Well now I'd like to star explaining the main test, as I told you before in the main test, your matches will be seen by everybody and each of you will represent your country, I'd like you to show off all your power with no reserves, which is way the finals will be held one month from now"
Then he explain why they had to wait one month for the last test and then continue "Well I'd like to dismiss you now, but there's something that has to be done for the finals before I can do that" and Anko come forward with a box "There are pieces of paper inside of the box that Anko is holding so each of you take one piece" and after everyone took one piece I'd like you to tell us the number on that in order starting from the left"
Ren started "11", Naruto "I got 1", Temari "7", Kankuro "5", Gaara"3", Shikamaru "8", Choji "10", Misumi "9", Neji "2", and Shino "6".
Then the Hokage said "All right, now I'll reveal to you the final tournament".
Naruto Uzumaki(1) vs. Neji Hyūga(2)
Gaara(3) vs. Sasuke Uchiha(4)
Kankurō(5) vs. Shino Aburame(6)
Temari(7) vs. Shikamaru Nara(8)
Misumi Tsurugi(9) vs. Choji Akimichi(10)
Ren Haruno(11) Bye
