"Your foot, your abdomen...your arm, hand...all are burned! The area affected isn't small... Don't you care about your life? Why are you leaving the hospital now?" Aiden Moore squeezed Grace Gordon's wrist, nearly breaking it.
"That's my own business, let go!" Grace struggled to pull her arm back, but she couldn't free her painful arm from Aiden's grasp.
"Aiden!" Grace yelled in anger.
"Are you crazy?" Aiden pushed Grace down onto the bed. "Don't you care about your life anymore? Is Stanhope Brown that important to you? So important that you're risking your life for him? Huh?"
"Yes!" Grace clenched her teeth, glaring at Aiden. "Stanhope is more important to me than my life! He's my hope! My hope for the future!"
Aiden clenched his teeth as he stared at the stubborn, determined look in Grace's eyes, just like the one he saw on the Golden Gate Bridge that day.
