33.33% The True Successor Of House Scamander (HP) / Chapter 8: Mutation

Capítulo 8: Mutation

the storm of fire and flames roamed the room, burning a couple of things along the way.

"Nagi, quickly run out of the way!" Mylo screamed at the snake, that looked towards the inferno of fire and flames with determination.

she didn't look scared, she didn't blink in the face of a threat that could easily kill her.

she jumped at the fire and flames with a will.

"NAGI!" Mylo screamed as the flames and fire devoured Nagi without a trace, as the hot temperatures and Nagi's scales clashed in a large scale battle.

the fire seemed to represent a snake, as it openly tried to devour Nagi, who tried to fight the flames back.

they both danced with eachover in a beautiful scene, as Nagi evaded the strikes of fire with what to be called a smile on her face.

the fire conceded, as a large cacoon enveloped Nagi, which only added to the concerns of Mylo.

almost as quickly as it came, the cacoon started to break slowly, from crack to crack.

Mylo hurriedly grabbed his wand and looked at the cacoon with vigilance in his eyes.

what will come out of that? Nagi? or a different being.

the caccoon broke into 2 clean pieces as a being emerged from the large cacoon, a fiery brilliance surrounding its every move.

its eyes were pure amber with black slits occupying both of the eyes.

its scales were pure black with a touch of purple and red, contrasting the previously greyish blue scales that Nagi previously had.

its fangs were sharper, and its body larger and more streamlined.

"Protego!" A large shield protected Mylo from a 360 angle as he carefully approached his former friend

"Nagi, is that you?"

The snake hissed in response, causing Mylo to give a sigh of relief. the shield still wasn't lowered, however.

step by step did Mylo slowly start to approach the small snake, before slowly starting to raise his hand and touch the snake's scales.

they were smooth, not like the previous jagged scales which were a name-state of the Xiangliu tribe.

the most important thing to describe was... how was he meant to tell this to his grandfather.

it is true that he loves and trusts his grandfather, but if word ever got out that he could do this.... the consequences would be dire.

although his worldview was a little bit immature, it was a fact that he would be labelled a dark mage and a heretic the moment he released this power.

this is why precautions were made.

"Mylo, are you alright?" Newt said, putting his ear to the door

"Grandfather, come in."

Sensing a tone that was rare for Mylo, Newt quickly looked at the state of the room

"Merlin's beard! what happened here!"

his eyes flicked over to Nagi, who stuck her tongue out in an act of ignorance and confusion,

Looking at the countless burn marks, he sighed, but that was the least important thing in the room right now.

"How is that possible?" Newt muttered, holding his chin in one hand "A Mutation... no that should be impossible!" His eyes turned to me "What happened!"

Hiding away the tattoo mark, who had gone silent, Newt expression went serious when he saw Mylo's hesitant expression

"Grandfather.."

He simply ignored him and went back to Nagi

"Hm.. vitals are okay, the bodily function is working... no better than they were before." Newt ignored his grandson and continued to examine the snake "Gained fire and what.... moonlight? Hmm, how strange. I'll have to record this. A mutated beast! a Xiangliu no less!" Newt said, "But unfortunately, I can't do that, correct?"

"Yes, grandfather..." Mylo didn't want this to leak.

"I see, then pull out your left wrist."

Mylo did as instructed, as his grandfather beckoned him

"How about we make a deal?"

"Grandfather, i don't like your tone."

"Help me research whatever you did I'll make an unbreakable vow making sure another soul doesn't learn about whatever events happened here."

"Ok.." It almost seemed like he didn't have a choice. however this was one of the best outcomes, as unbreakable vows were unbreakable, and death awaits those who break them.

his grandfather instructed him about how to make an unbreakable vow

"Aw yes, I remember making one of these when I vowed to save frank the thunderbird..." Newt said, "I wonder how frank is doing right now?"

"Grandfather, please."

Mylo used his wand in the intersection of both of theirs wrists and chanted

"Newt Scamander, do you agree to keep what happened in this bedroom a secret?"

"I do."

"Newt Scamander, do you agree to help me research my mothers legacy and powers?"

"I do."

a soft pain came from Mylo's wrist and the seal was created, anyone that would break would face death or worse.

"Now... will you tell me what the hell happened? I know you said something about your mothers legacy."

"I don't know myself, grandfather." Mylo sighed, before showing him an inky mark on his hand.

"This.." Newt said, "No. this is different."

"What is it?"

"Well, it seems that it has a connection to... never mind. that is a story for another day. its need research." Newt explained, "We will go into more detail after your first year of Hogwarts."

ah yes, Hogwarts was soon. his reply letter was sent, and it was nearly time for him to go for his first year.

"That is unfortunate."

If they would crack the code now, it would be easier. but since Hogwarts was soon, limited research was all they could get.

Hogwarts started soon.
