Capítulo 154: The Next Sentinel

After using the 3 Element Shards obtained from the Asmodeus Lost Herald boss on himself, Cyanide went to sleep and finally got some rest. He'd considered splitting the three amongst Kirika, Ragnar, and himself, but ultimately decided to save them all for himself. After all, as much as the three of them were allied and 'Oathsworn' right now, eventually, they'll become enemies. The cruel nature of this cold and dark game says as much. Even though they were fighting against the Gamemaster, that does not change the fact that in the end, only one can walk out alive. That foundational rule has already been established, and nothing can alter it.

As such, Cyanide needed to prepare. It was a selfish act, especially considering Ragnar had helped him take down the boss, but it was necessary. Sure, it may be unfair, but heck, the world itself was unfair—particularly this one. And because of that, the people in it needed to be even more unfair if they wanted to survive.
