I went to Claire's office and sat.
She was the first to start the conversation.
"So where did you get the cores from?"
There was a silence for a moment before I said
"Temple of Destruction"
"Sorry? " She asked me back, thinking she had misheard something.
"Temple of Destruction." I repeated it slowly.
She was surprised and silent for a moment.
"No way."
"You did it solo again?" she asked me with her mouth open.
"Yes." I said.
There was a silence for a moment before she asked
"Temple of Destruction is actually a classified dungeon. How did you find it? "
"I can feel strong dungeons around me." I said it half-truthfully.
"But how did you clear it? I have never personally gone there before, but strong awakeneds that I know have met their ends trying to finish the dungeon. " Claire asked in a serious tone.
"There were 10 ancient golems, and 1 enemy boss, so I'd like to call it. My strategy was to finish the ancient golems one by one before killing the boss. " I said
"That doesn't make any sense. Lina, one of our strongest awakened, my mentor, had the strongest firepower, and she ran out of energy after defeating only one of them and died there. "
I was silent and I had no clue what to say in response to that. Saying that I'm strong will just offend her.
"Okay, let's talk about the appearing Monster Core. How did they disappear and appear out of nowhere? " she asked me.
"I am capable of storing inanimate matters inside me, like the inventory in RPG games." I said that.
"Are you a multi-awakened?"She asked
"What's that?" I asked back.
"Multi awakeneds are awakeneds that have multiple abilities. I have the ability to create ice matter and stronger physical capability. "
"Well yeah, I guess so." I replied back in a calm manner.
There was a silence for a moment, until she said
"You're amazing, don't you know that, Dendi?"
"Hm?" I replied.
"Multi-awakeneds are rare. Statistically speaking, only less than 5% of awakened have multiple abilities. Although to be honest, we still don't know how people awaken to multiple abilities or how these dungeons appear. "
I had only my ice ability, and I had only awakened to this physical empowerment ability a couple years after my ice ability."
"Interesting." I replied humbly.
"Perhaps I awakened to my storing ability due to my strong will for an easier backpack?" I asked quite lightly
"Maybe." She then replied to me.
"I have to go now and take a rest. See you tomorrow for the mock battle. " I said to her
"Ok, see you tomorrow." She then said to me again.
----------------------------
I reached my home through [Teleportation], took a shower, and rested on my bed.
I then checked the talent trees again, starting with the first:
[LVL 15 Talent Tree]:
> Borrowed Time grants spell and status immunity.
> 0 cooldown teleportation]
Both of them appear to be viable options, and with no cooldown teleportation, I'll have more time to flee.
But with Borrowed Time talent, I could basically be god for 9 seconds, with no one capable of stunning or doing anything weird to me at that time.
I chose the [Borrowed Time] talent, next talent tree.
[Talent Tree (LVL 20):
> Night Vision -> True Sight: Absolute vision at an indefinite range and grants vision to invisible creatures]
> Feast's 2x damage and lifesteal]
True Sight sounds nice, but I already have a 20/20 vision and 20 metres of night vision is enough for me.
Twice the damage from lifesteal from <Feast> sounds better. I can kill bosses faster and sustain myself more easily. So I took the talent tree.
The final talent tree is
[Talent Tree (LVL 25):
> Get an extra ability from the Book of Divinity
> Borrowed Time lasts twice as long.]
What a tough choice. I am curious about the Book of Divinity talent, but the Borrowed Time talent will without doubt help me sustain at least 2 times longer.
I chose the Book of Divinity because I'm really curious and another window showed up:
[Choose your skill:
> Reincarnation (Brings you back to life after dying. 60 seconds cooldown)
> Arctic Form <Active> (Consumes 10 MP/s. Allows you to fly and grants an extra 10m attack range)]
Now this is an even harder choice. Reincarnation will be helpful if I die, and I can just use [Refresher Orb] after I die again and reincarnate twice.
But, the [Arctic Form] will without doubt be more fun. I had always wanted to fly. Not to mention, [Arctic Form] will definitely help me destroy open space enemies as I can just shoot them while flying, leaving them no chance to reach me.
Although it does consume 10MP/s, and my mana regeneration is currently <+5.8 MP/s> if I just buy some mana regeneration items, I can fly indefinitely.
[Talent Tree:
> Splitshot arrows use passives and other modifiers.
> Borrowed Time grants spell and status immunity.
> 2x damage and lifesteal from Feast]
Skill:
> Split shot [25% damage reduction, attacks 5 enemies at once]
> Feast [Attacks deals 1% of enemy max health and heals you for 4% of enemy max health]
> Reaper Scythe <Active> [3 seconds stun, Deals 1 magic damage for every 1 health point lost by the enemy, 60 seconds cooldown, 200 MP]
> Borrowed Time <Active> [Changes all the damage you receive into heals, automatically activates on fatal damage or 20% health, lasts 9 seconds. 40 second cooldown. 150 MP]
> Teleport (100 MP, teleport anywhere on the map, 20 second cooldown, 3 second casting time.]
> Night Vision<Passive> [In the dark, you can see the area of 20 meters around you clearly]
> Consumed Moon Shard [-0.25 Attack Speed]
> Arctic Form <Active> (Consumes 10 MP/s. Allows you to fly and grants extra 10m attack range)]
Yeah, that's a lot of skills.
Tired and satisfied, I then slept for a couple of minutes before I heard a knock.
I peeked through my window to see who it was, and it was my dad.
