Emma watched with furrowed eyebrows, as Derek was crowned the Alpha of the Blue Moon Pack. A golden crown with diamond fixtures was placed on his head.

But that wasn't her problem. Her problem was that he was avoiding her gaze. What the hell was going on?

She turned aside to Maya and Freya. They also had the same look on their face. They weren't sure what was happening.

She looked around and found Aiden.

She piqued her eyebrows at him, but he shrugged. He didn't know either.

She shifted her gaze from him to Shane, who was standing between Clem and Leo.

Coincidentally, their eyes met. He was confused too.

Derek wasn't smiling. He was cold.

Was this part of the drill? She thought, letting her eyes search for Anthony. He was his brother, so he must know something about what was happening.
