Sylvie stupidly let Drake hold her and stroke her hair as she sobbed her heart out. She had never been so confused in her entire life. Her life had stopped making sense the moment she found out about the betrayal from the two people she loved most.

It had all been downhill from there. Everything she thought she knew was gone and she was only able to start rebuilding her life at all because of a stranger. The most confusing stranger in existence.

Nothing Drake did made sense. Why couldn't she ask questions? Why was he so nice to her? What did he even want a wife for? 

He had said that looking out for her was only natural because she was his wife but that didn't make sense either because she wasn't a normal wife at all. Everything she did for him was an act and he knew it.
