Capítulo 247: I Didn't Think You Would Believe Me

"I didn't think you would believe me," Ian began. That much was true. Ava didn't know anything about her past life or their old world before those bumbling idiots found her. "Please don't hate me, Ava. All I wanted was another chance to protect you and make you happy."

She let out a dry laugh. "Oh? Then you don't need me to break your curse?"

He could have killed that demon! Or the elf. Or both. Whoever told her that and planted the idea in her head that he only wanted her because he needed her to break the curse. That was but a small part of it. 

Even if she hadn't been the only way to break the curse so he could finally die, he wanted to be able to live in peace with the woman he loved this time. Was that really so terrible?
