Capítulo 237: I Only Serve My Queen

Venethan scowled. "You are always such a witherwings. Can you not bend the rules just this once?"

"I cannot," Ianor repeated. He would not budge on such an important sacred duty he had been assigned. Azariel hadn't let anyone else guard the door while she did this the entire time she had been queen and he wasn't about to let her down now. 

"Am I not king? You serve the royal family; you have to listen to me."

"I only serve my queen." 

Venethan rolled his eyes. "Like I said. A witherwings. Your insistence upon following the rules and lack of opinion on anything of importance is why Azariel chose me. You were too boring for her."

Ianor's eyes narrowed but he still refused to budge. He would not cave to such petty taunts. He knew the only reason he hadn't ended up with the woman he loved was because he didn't have the guts to confess first.
