"Are you happy, Eve?" Earl asked.
After the delightful dinner, Elric went back to the Manor leaving Evelyn with Earl. The two of them sat in the garden embracing the silence between them. Evelyn had draped the shawl around herself so she wasn't feeling cold. Earl's question broke the silence.
She turned to look at him and replied, "Of course, I am happy, Earl."
Earl smiled at her, making her frown at him. "Didn't you want to stay with him for a few more days?" He asked.
His question caught her off guard. She was aware that he knew she couldn't lie and his direct question made her speak the truth.
Lowering her gaze, she gathered her thoughts and replied, "I wish I could live with him forever. He took really good care of me."
"Did you confess to him?"
"Nope," she replied, shaking her head, "not yet."
"When are you going to confess?" He asked.
