It didn't seem like a bad idea to get under that trunk until now. Victor was giving her a fierce look and something told Mimi that it would be a whole lot worse if she lied to him. So she just told him the truth.
"I hid under a truck and got inside the place," She said it just like that.
"What?" All blood drained from Victor's face.
"It seemed like the most feasible idea at the time. There was no other way to infiltrate that place built like the white house and then the opportunity came in the form of a truck and I took it." She tried to justify her action.
"Are you out of your fucking mind, Mimi?!" Victor shouted at her for the first time. No, this was the first time that they were having a real quarrel like this.
