Capítulo 207: Damon F**cking Steel (3)

Gabriel stared at Damon, his features hardening from what he'd seen. He took a step forward, feeling a sudden blood lust for the Alpha King. Gabriel started to reach out to Esme, his protective instincts kicking in, but her tensing shoulders made him lower his hand. His eyes narrowed subtly; he read her thoughts before he was violently ousted from her mind. 

Esme didn't want Damon to know they were mates; she feared him and wanted to keep any details about herself hidden. This was also the first time in a long time since he was unable to enter her mind, it wasn't intentional, but it meant she wasn't comfortable around the Alpha. 

Gabriel glared once again at Damon; it had only taken a few seconds to go through their shared memories, and he didn't like what he saw. He also didn't like how his mate was reacting to him. From what he could tell, Damon hasn't hurt her, but she certainly didn't trust him.
