**ADDIE'S POV**

I was still at a loss. My wolf had just sat down with us to explain things to me and Nolan, but then it just turned around and ran away. Why? Why did she run away? Why was she being so cryptic? And if she could be here with us, then why was she running away from me? I just didn't get it. And based on the look that was on Nolan's face when I turned to look at him, he didn't get it either.

"Addie?" He said my name questioningly as he looked at me.

"I don't get it, Nolan." I shook my head. "I mean, I understood what she said, but I don't understand her and her motives."

"Then we're on the same page there." He stood, rising fluidly to his feet and holding his hand out toward me. "I guess that we have nothing else to do but look at the other lives that you have lived. I don't know how many more are left, but I know that I won't let you go through them on your own."
