"Don't do it, you fool," Alex wanted to stop Brad but was held back by Veronica.

"Don't you dare stop him," Veronica whispered in his ear, "The real fun is about to begin." It was also payback for what that asshole did to her brother.

"But I have spent so much money on that idiot. I don't mind the teeth, but what will happen if he were to break his nose? Or get a bruise?" Alex expressed his concern for the money he had put into this project.

"You worry too much. I am sure that chicken will chicken out at the last moment," Veronica brushed aside his worry.

'You underestimate your power of persuasion,' Alex thought but hoped that Veronica's words came true.

Meanwhile, Brad was standing in front of the uninvited guests in the room. He was all pumped to impress Veronica, so much so that he felt like thanking God for sending such small fries to their doorstep.
