Capítulo 5: What Lies Underneath The Hood
Delilah saw Kenny drop the gas hose and look up at her clearly in a daze. Seeing him lean against the gas tank and slowly slide down it was clear he was hurt. Seeing blood smear down the tank, Delilah quickly picked herself up and stumbled on her feet and quickly to him.
"KENNY!" She cried out while quickly getting on her knees and move his hand as it was on his stomach. Seeing blood gushing out from near his mitted glove, Delilah quickly grabbed Kenny's hand away and pulled to see he was stabbed in the stomach. "Fuck... Kenny.. N-No.. this can't be happening!" She cried out while tears fell from her face onto his lap.
"I'll be fine.. I'm just exhausted." He muttered under his parka.
Delilah didn't give up as she looked around for anything. Knowing the gas station inside had to have something she knew if he got stitched up and don't have any life threatening parts stabbed then he could make it.
"Kenny, I.. I need you to trust me but I'm going to find something to patch you up okay?"
Seeing him close his eyes and lean his head against the tank, she knew he didn't have long. He needed care now.
"I'll be right back.."
"W-Wait.. take this." Kenny said while placing his foot on the corpse's knife and kicked it to her.
Taking it, she made a quick run inside but luckily ran into no one. She couldn't find a sewing kit to sew up his wound so she had to improvise with dental floss. Grabbing a medkit and floss, she quickly made her way back to Kenny and treated his wounds the best she could. Time went by and she was now sewing up the wound with dental floss and a needle. Hearing him wince a few times, she kept saying sorry which only caused him to snicker softly. Finally finishing her stitching, he slowly opened his heavy eyes and looked down at her work. Considering he had a huge hole in his hoodie, she didn't remove it for.. her own personal reasons.
"Thanks.. your a life saver Delilah." Kenny said while trying to get on his feet to only have her grab his hand and help him up.
"You shouldn't thank me yet. I know where the keys are to the bus. That's our ticket out of here." Delilah said while pointing at the dumpster. As she looked back at him, her face heated up seeing him removing his hoodie which revealed his toned but skinny figure. She couldn't look away, not only of the fact that he was her eye candy but something no one has ever seen before. What he was hiding underneath the hoodie. "K-Kenny?"
He dropped the hoodie and let out a sigh.
"I know.. I'm a bit of a dare devil huh?"
She got up and held her hand out but hesitated to touch one of the scars near his heart.
"K-Kenny.. what happened to you?"
"You wouldn't believe it if I told you.."
"Please.. please tell me."
Kenny let out another sigh as he turned his back to her. Her eyes narrowed to his two shoulder bones as she saw the biggest nastiest scars. "Would you believe me if I told you I'm immortal?" He asked while looking over his shoulder at her.
