She struggled to sit up while resting her back against the soft pillow. She sighed tiredly as the task of simply sitting up felt like she was asked to lift her bathing tub back at home.
She remained that way with her hand on her stomach as hunger began to kick in.
She was both weak and hungry and she was forced to admit that there was no bigger punishment for stabbing their king than what she was made to go through.
The door opened and Selene walked in with a tray.
"When they told me you were awake, I did not believe it," Selene told her with a relieved smile lifting the corners of her lips.
"I just woke up who told you that I was awake?" Aurora asked wincing as she tried to sit up to no avail.
"The alpha told me. He said you kept asking for me," Selene replied. She placed the tray on the table and lifted a bowl from it.
