"Wake up, you are only dreaming," came that same childish voice she was beginning to hate.
She was already aware that it was only a dream but she wanted it to last forever.
When she opened her eyes, she saw a small cute face looking down at her worriedly.
The girl seeing her open her eyes, moved back and sighed in relief with her hands on her chest in a dramatic manner.
"I have not done that in more than a century now. It was something risky for me to have done especially to someone like you. You might have never woken up again," the girl told her.
With that knowledge, Aurora was torn in between wishing she never woke up from that dream and thanking her stars that she woke up.
"I ended up showing you the wrong vision. That was not what I wanted to show you.
"Like I said earlier, I have not done this in a while so I guess it affected my ability or perhaps I am getting old that I am losing my powers."
The girl rubbed her temple tiredly like an old ancestor that she was. She exhaled and stood up.
With the girl not obstructing her view now, Aurora discovered she was no longer in the inn she slept off in.
From the stone ceiling and walls that formed a large curved structure above and around her, she knew she was in a cave.
She sat up and looked around. Her gaze moved around until she saw the entrance and she exhaled, at least there was a way of escape.
As though reading her mind, the little girl shook her head.
"Please don't think of running away. My legs are too short to go after you,"the girl told her as she walked to a small fire burning on the side of the cave's entrance with a roasted rabbit above it.
She salivated but said nothing as she wondered for how she had slept to make her feel so hungry that the rabbit looked so appetizing.
"Where am I?" she only asked looking at the little girl who was now wearing a black peasant dress and black thick wool veil which was completely different from the brown simple but expensive gown she saw her in at the inn.
"A cave," the girl replied easily as she got to the fire and took the roasted rabbit from the fire and began cutting it up into small bits into a pair of leaves on the floor of the cave.
"I know that very well," she told her seriously displeased. She was not blind to recognize that she was in a cave. "So, how did I get here and where am I precisely?"
"I am sorry but I kidnapped you. I had to. You planned to part with your travel group in that inn. I had to take you away from them just as you planned."
Aurora watched the girl as she placed one of the leaves which had largely cut roasted rabbit in it in front of Aurora carefully.
"I guess I made things easy for you, right?" the girl asked as she sat down beside Aurora on the bed with her share of rabbit meat.
She looked at Aurora with her eyes expecting a pleasant compliment from her and she pouted displeased when she did not hear any.
"I clearly saved your life. Do you know how many people were placed to watch the inn even before your arrival?
"You had already planned to leave the inn secretly but with the number of eyes watching the entrance, you will never have been able to do that.
"I helped you through an important part of your plan and you can't give me a compliment. That is not nice," the girl murmured.
She took a large piece of meat and stuffed her mouth with it while glaring at Aurora.
Aurora also began eating when she noticed that the girl chewed and swallowed the meal without passing out or whatsoever.
She still watched the girl who was glaring at her like she wanted to slash Aurora with the invisible daggers in her eyes.
She could not hold back her smile when she noticed how cute the girl looked. She was definitely like a clawless and toothless bunny.
The girl seeing the smile Aurora now wore looking at her wanted to cry as she began aggressively mashing the meat between her teeth hoping Aurora see that she was angry and imagining that the chewing process was her hitting Aurora.
"You look cute," and heard Aurora tell her as soon as she was done eating and cleaning her hand with the cloth of the beddings.
The girl's Rosy cheeks had a fresh healthy tint on it as she frowned staring at Aurora. "I wanted . . . a . . . a compliment but not that," she said looking down with her lashes fluttering.
Aurora found herself chuckling at the adorable centuries old girl beside her.
"How old are you?"
The tint of pink immediately disappeared with that question and the girl's brown eyes met Aurora's gaze.
"Why do you ask?" the girl looked very suspicious as she looked at Aurora, the earlier cute blush appearance was all gone.
"I am only curious of what sort of person my guard is," Aurora replied truthfully. She meant no harm or mockery by her innocent and curious question.
"You are the first adult to ask me such question after knowing I am a supernatural. I have lived in different ways and with different appearances but you are the only person bold or curious enough to ask."
Aurora simply smiled at that sudden almost unnecessary revelation and waited for her answer.
"I don't know my age. I can't remember my past. I did not know who I was until someone powerful and important found me and he gave an important identity on his side."
"Really? Who is this person to you and what identity did he give you?" Aurora felt she was prying in too deep into the girl's identity but she wanted to know and she got even more curious with the sad look she noticed in the girl's eyes.
