Capítulo 31: XXXI
The fulfillment she wanted from killing the alpha king as a hero of her people was a complete opposite of the feeling of emptiness and pain she felt.
Just as she applied pressure to bury the knife in her neck, she felt a pair of strong hands stop her.
She tried her best to take those hands off but soon the knife was no longer in her grip.
She did not know what hit her hard at the back of her neck that led to her losing her consciousness.
All she saw was darkness and all she heard afterwards was silence.

"Are you okay?" Asked a very worried deep male voice close to her as she struggled to sit up. She was on a soft and comfortable bed.
This definitely could not be a prison. She was not in prison for stabbing the king of the inhumans rather she was given a comfortable bed in an expensive looking room.
It will cost anyone much to rent such a room in an inn. She turned to see the owner of the voice and she shook in shock.
No wonder she was not in prison. She was staring at the face of her fiancé who was said to be strongly obsessed with her.
"Are you okay?" he asked her again. He reached to touch her forehead but she pulled away from him and tried to stand up but her legs felt to weak to lift her up.
She sat down again on the bed to prevent falling down. She let her mind travel back to what happened before she passed out.
She stabbed the Alpha King with the knife her teacher gave. She wondered if he died since she did not do it at the right time.
She could not wait at that point faced with the king of the beasts who killed her innocent parents and her siblings.
She could not explain the feeling she felt but she actually hesitated.
She did not want to at some point but she remembered what her teacher taught her of how she will definitely not feel like killing him when they meet.
She was helped by her memories, the memories her teacher made sure she never forgot to revenge.
What she wanted to hear now is the jubilation of the humans over the downfall of those beasts.
When it occurred to her that she was still alive when her teacher clearly told her that she was going to die afterwards, she found herself in a very confused state.
She was confused that she was still alive and comfortable but the confusion went beyond that.
She lived all her life since her loved ones died with only vengeance on her mind.
Now that she has done what her uncle wanted and she was still alive, she was confused about what she will do in the future.
She wondered how she will live the rest of her life. What was she going to do? Where was she going to live?
She closed her eyes and groaned tiredly. She really should have died then. She was surprisingly not satisfied with the present turn of events.
Seeing his fiancee was not willing to talk to him, the Duke got up from the bed and walked out of the room. It was clear that she wanted some time alone.
"Did he save my life?" she asked looking at the closed door of the room. She suddenly remembered something vital.
She got up despite her weak legs and walked to door. The door did not budge when she tried to open it.
"Did they lock me in here?" she asked the empty room as she tried again and again to open the door.
When the door remained tightly shut, she came to a realization that the Duke must have more plans for her than she was willing to know about.
What will make him lock her up? She could not understand, so she tried again with the conclusion that perhaps the door was stuck and she needed to try to open it with more force applied.
She gave up after two more trial and returned to bed when her legs felt like they were going to give away anytime. She staggered to the bed to rest.
She was not one to fall ill. She had a strong body that she can't remember when last she fell sick.
The feeling of weakness and joint pain she felt was very unpleasant and she wanted it to stop by all means.
She laid on the bed hoping to get her strength back as usual when she feels stressed after training for a long time.
She thought she will regain her strength as fast as she always did but she did not get any back even after lying for a long while.
She got tired and impatient. She stood up expecting someone to come so she could ask them about her maid, Helen.
When she stabbed the king, she did not remember that not only her life will be lost but that of her maid. She had forgotten about everything around.
Now, she wanted to know where her maid was and what happened to her but no one came to her room.
She wondered what was on the mind of the Duke when he locked her room but she could not come up with anything reasonable.
She could not remember being in his bad books at all for any reason. She always avoided him that they had little or no encounter to lead to her offending him.
After only the heavens knows when, the door was pushed open and she immediately sat up despite the dizziness she felt.
She glared at him displeased. "Why did you lock me up?"
"I had to. I thought you will try to run away," he replied her as he walked to her bed with a tray of covered plates.
"Where is my maid?" she asked not bothered by his answer when he placed the tray on a bedside stool.
"Your maid?" he asked with a confused expression.
"Yes, my maid Helen," she replied with urgency.
"Oh . . . I think you are talking about the girl who was with you, right?" he asked rubbing the back of his neck as he sat down on a stool.
