The open corridor leading to the Crown Prince's chamber was deserted. People were out celebrating the mating ceremony of their new King and Queen. Guards and the staffs too. Consequently, there was no one to relight the candles and torches that were put out by the strong wind.
One could not see Persephone walking along the corridor because of darkness covering the premise. The thing that gave away her presence were the click-clack noises of her heels.
Wanting to be left alone, she entered the Crown Prince's Chamber, only to realize that her ceremonial mate was in there as well. She had seen him leaving the celebration a while before her. Without acknowledging her arrival, she saw him standing on the balcony with his back facing her, taking the support of alcohol.
She took a note that he stood there frequently.
