I closed my eyes to let some sleep inside me. But the pain wasn't letting me close my eyes. I hated that I have come all this way to save Lucien. When I should have stayed there. At least Jordan would have helped me heal. But I came here to get myself killed not even in an honoured battle but due to some infection. Despite all these, he is surrendering himself to save my life. Why does he want to be a goddam hero? He could have stayed where he was? But what is going to hurt him the most is his father's betrayal. I hope he is prepared enough for that.

"Hey ", I said to Kofi. He has taken a short nap by this time. At least one of us is in better shape.

" Mara. I don't know why but I slept", he told me.

"That is Ok. You must be tired", I told him.

" I should have stayed home. Then it wouldn't have come to this", I told him.

"Are you sure about that? They have planned it from what I understood from Shabd", he told me.
