Kairn, a variant of Cairn (Scottish Gaelic) is a man made stack of stones. Since ancient times, they have served as monuments, burial sites, navigation aids, wishing stones, worship mediums, among other uses in different cultures around the world. Each stone in a pile can signify a wish or prayer. Hikers usually add a stone at the top of pile for good luck.

Kai was lying on the couch, staring at the TV with a blank expression. In fact, he wasn't focusing on the TV at all. It was Marcus he had on his mind. That boy occupies most of his thoughts. Marc was the only one he took to his sanctuary, the roof. Watching the view with his arm around Marc was honestly one of the best moments he's had in a long time.
