As soon as Ryo said that, everyone, except Esdeath's face, turned into chaos and confusion. With their eyes widened, they questioned the reality as to whether Esdeath was even capable of loving.
"This..."
"Wha-!"
Ryo's lips curved into a slight smirk as he looked at them and with a quick action he released Tatsumi from his restraints. "Well, your General will let you fill in the details later on."
With a strong push, he sent Tatsumi, flying across to Esdeath, making her narrow her eyes as she placed the reaper back into its scabbard caught Tatsumi in a princess-carrying position, and placed him on the ground.
Her face married a blush as she caressed Tatsumi's cheeks she whispered, "I won't lose you this time... Just wait for me...", As soon as she said that, she completed saying that, she stood up and after patting her white uniform and removing the dust, she looked at Ryo, took out her Reaper.
*Swish* *Teng*
Ryo's face suddenly turned into surprise and seriousness as he instantly summoned his sword from his inventory and blocked Esdeath, as he deflected the slash that came toward him.
Calculating the best possible outcome, he loosened his grip on the ground as he blocked the slash coming toward him, and used it to carry his body away from the battlefield.
*Bang*
With a huge force, Ryo's eyes turned serious as he found himself being thrown away by the sudden force, and as he was in the air, he found himself surrounded by ice spikes, rushing toward him with their sharp edges pointing toward him.
*Swish* *Swish* *Swish* *Teng* *Teng* *Teng*
With a quick slash of his sword, he destroys them, only to find Esdeath rushing toward him with an ice sword in her hand, "Is this all? I am quite disappointed in you if you're only this strong."
With a calm expression, Ryo extended his hand, exposing a small gun-like mechanism in his hand which launched a bullet from his hand, making Esdeath a bit surprised but she used her sword to deflect the bullet as she dashed toward Ryo who had now positioned himself.
"Small tricks!", Esdeath shouted as suddenly Ice spikes extended from the ground, making Ryo frown as he jumped high in the air and instantly summoned his spider-like appendages from his back, and smashed the Ice with them.
*Bam* *Bang!*
'Weissschnabel!'
But as soon as he destroyed the ice spikes, he found himself surrounded by Ice spikes again, as he watched Esdeath calmly watching him from the ground with a smile. She looked at Ryo as she asked, "So, do you admit defeat? You are quite weak for an opponent."
Ryo hummed, "I do have to say that you are quite strong. Stronger than I had anticipated, but well, this was just a warm-up for me as well.", Stream began to suddenly seep out of Ryo's body as his spider-like appendages instantly destroyed all the spikes coming toward him.
*Bang* *Bang* *Bang* *Bang*
(Esdeath)"Useless. Grauhorn" *Booom!*
With a bang, Ryo, fell on the ground over his legs, safe and sound without any problem. He dusted off his clothes as he walked toward Esdeath who had stopped attacking him and observed him calmly.
'This concludes my initial observation. She is not the Anime version. She is a lot stronger... No, she's literally multiple times stronger. The firearm I used at point-blank range was traveling at almost 2135 meters per second. And she dodged that with ease...'
Looking at Ryo approaching her, Esdeath smirked as she asked, "I see. So you are also a Teigu user, aren't you? I am impressed that even without using your Teigu you were able to fight me for this long. So tell, me what do you think happened in the future?"
"I am very sure that you are more of an anomaly than someone who sent me back to my past. Seryuu and Wave's involvement in your group says it all. This shows that you, to some points can either from the future or can see the future."
(Ryo) "Oh? Looks like I was right and wrong at the same time... I indeed sent you in this current time, but at the same time, it was not me."

I don't know deeply about what he is saying but I think what he meant was that 'he', his future possible self, sent me back in time, but sort of into a completely different world where something different had happened... Like a butterfly effect of sorts... I see..'
Although she didn't understand what he meant by the term 'parallel universe' completely, she was able to somewhat comprehend what he was trying to say. The term itself was new to her but the words he used were enough for her to know what he was potentially trying to say.
*Bang* *Tring*
Not giving her any chance to retaliate, Ryo instantly appeared before her, thrusting his sword toward her heart, which she instantly countered by forming an ice spike from her feat, making Ryo instantly block the spike with his sword and crush it.
This gave Esdeath enough time to stabilize herself and adapt to a new fighting style. With that, she rushed toward Ryo, leaving behind an afterimage and dust clouds.
*Tring* *Tring* *Tring* *Tring* *Bang*
As soon as they started to clash again, Ryo began to feel a difference. Instead of facing him head-on with her overwhelming strength, Esdeath's approach shifted. She had started to utilize parry and counter techniques, swiftly evading Ryo's attacks while launching precise and devastating counters of her own.
Before he could react perfectly, as soon as he tried to adjust to the new fighting style, when he tried to slash his sword vertically, Esdeath positioned her sword, effectively parrying the slash as she used her elbow to try to hit Ryo, making him tense.
He instantly ducked down on the ground as he headbutted Esdeath on her stomach, making her go out of breath. taking this opportunity, Ryo positioned himself as he slashed at Esdeath horizontally, making her form an ice platform, and sending her in the air.
To not give her any time to prepare herself for his attacks, he instantly used his spider-like appendages to try to pierce Esdeath.
*Bang*
'Hmup! Hagelsprung!'
Sadly, his spider-like appendages only met with an empty ice block, while Esdeath instantly formed ice over her hands and legs, using them to fly in the air with her Ice manipulation.
With that, Esdeath instantly formed a huge Ice block, potentially a few hundred meters huge, sending it toward Ryo as she said, "You are stronger than I expected. to think that you can last against me this much! Looks like it's time for me to also get serious. Hahaha!"
Her crazy laughter was heard through the battlefield while on the other hand, Ryo instantly retracted his tails, and using them, he sent himself out of the area of effect of crash, to save himself from getting crushed. As soon as he reached out of the range, he heard Esdeath, making his eyes narrow down.
Suddenly he noticed something different. The cavalry that was on the other side of the battlefield suddenly rushed toward them, making his eyes shoot open as he instantly started to use his energy, making his temperature rise so high that the air around him started to seem blurred as every ice 1 meter around him started to melt.
(Ryo) '2nd phrase.'
Looking at Ryo's body which now had formed several cracks from which blue lights were emitted as she sensed the area around Ryo turning hot, Esdeath was slightly impressed and amused. "Ho? This is interesting. But no matter what you do, you cannot win against me! let me show you true despair!"
"This is nothing but a fraction of my strength! Let me show you the true terror and make you feel the true despair from our difference in strength.", With narrowed eyes, Esdeath shouted, "Ice Storm Commander-In-Chief", as soon as the ice cavalry reached a few kilometers away from their battlefield, Esdeath points her finger towards the sky as everything went white.

A strong white wind blash passed by the whole landscape, covering the whole continent in ice, freezing everything in its way, leaving behind a cold white landscape with strong wind flowing through the area.

Ice instantly covered the land, as the fully functional empire was completely covered in ice as a cold wind blew through the land. The chilling gusts of wind swept across the frozen landscape, causing the temperature to plummet further.
This was Esdeath's trump card.
Ice Storm Commander-In-Chief. After entering her Commander-In-Chief mode, a storm of blizzard covered every single land that spanned almost a continent. This storm was able to instantly turn everything it touched into ice. And while in this area, Esdeath had almost infinite stamina!

Ryo released his breath as white smoke came out of his mouth. He stood amid the ice-covered terrain, his cracked body emitting a faint blue light as he assessed the situation. Even in this coldness, everything within half a meter around him was as it was, not affected by the cold blast that passed by.
"You are quite strong, but you are nothing more than a weak pathetic ant, just like everyone. You cannot beat me. Now surrender to me and fulfill your promise.", Landing softly a short distance away from Ryo, Esdeath stood there, taunting Ryo.
A smile covered Ryo's face as he replied, "Indeed from your perspective, I might be weak, but what if this was still just a smaller part of my full power?", but much to his surprise, Esdeath chuckled lightly.
"Ants will remain the same, it doesn't matter how big they try to appear...", Spreading her arms wide, Esdeath smirked, trying to show her domination. "This is my domain! I am the strongest here. It doesn't matter how strong you are, you have to bow down to me."
Ryo's mind quickened as he suddenly realized something. 'The Snow Flakes!', before he could react, he found himself trapped in a blooming flower.
*Crack*!
With his body temperature being hundreds of degrees hot, he was sure that every cold or icy thing within a considerable area around him should be melting.
*Sheeek~*
Ryo felt his body instantly freeze in a looming flower, captured in the Ice Entrapment from Esdeath, who had now walked up to him, "As I said before, it doesn't matter how strong the ant is, it doesn't compare to a god. Although the fight was fun, you are making me feel disappointed. Is this the extent of your power?"
She walked up to him and coldly asked, "Now you have two options, tell me the answers to my questions or die here right now. Tell me your choices.", sadly for her, just as she was half a meter away from him Ryo smirked, making her just back in caution.
*Boom!*
The whole prison started to crack and blast out from the strength of Ryo, but the ice shards rushing out instantly stopped in their track as they were sent back toward Ryo. Not wanting to miss the chance and the opening, Ryo instantly summoned his full power.
"Haha. I have to say, thank you, Esdeath. Without you, I was finally able to unleash my full power. You are the first, and probably the last person, who will be seeing me unleashing my full power!"
*Crack* *Crack* *Crack* *Crack* *Crack* *Crack*
His body instantly started to crack as his humanoid body started to wither away in huge parts, spreading away from the body, as Ryo slowly turned into a huge monster. His body which was now covered in blue cracks was now compressed as lines formed over his body.
His skin turned dark at night as his human-like body structure turned into that of a monster. His 6-foot-like body instantly bluffed to that of a humanoid monster which was now 13 feet tall, towering over everything in its way.
A small crack formed over his palm, absorbing his small sword instantly into the small crack of his body as eight tails formed over his back, and one of them formed the state of a huge axe which instantly separated from his back as he grabbed it.
"Rahhh! Grrrr!"
With a roar filled with unknown anger, a huge crack that spanned over a massive area of ten meters formed over the ground, as Ryo launched himself into the air, instantly appearing tens of meters into the sky, in front of Esdeath, whose eyes went wide in surprise.
"Hah!"
'Third phrase. Now the final step is left.', Ryo thought as he slashed his axe toward Esdeath, making her spread her arms toward the incoming attack, as suddenly a pair of huge ice structures formed in front of Esdeath, forming a pair of huge ice.
His mind had started to lose consciousness, as his primal instincts started to take over his body, which he willingly accepted, as Ryo also started to delete some part of his memory for the plan.
*Boom!*
A huge sonic boom was heard in the air as the shockwave caused winds to shake the icy shards on the ground.
*BAMM*
With a huge sonic boom, Esdeath found herself embedded in the ground her front body had a huge slash running around from her chest to her stomach as she bled out.
"Guh!!!"
With a wave of the hand, she froze her blood from flowing out, stopping her bleeding. But Esdeath didn't get a lot of time to recover. Her expression turned grim as she looked into the sky and saw Ryo fall from the ground.
"Hah!"
Then her expression suddenly turned into a smirk as suddenly icy aura leaked out of her body, as Ryo's intuition and instincts suddenly started to ring in his mind, telling him something was wrong. Sadly, he didn't get enough time to react or do something as he only heard a word being said before everything went blank.
"MAKAHADOMAA!!!!!!!"
A small icy ball of energy formed between Esdeath's palm as she shouted her ability out loud and with that, a blast of the energy was released from the raven blue core of the translucent blue ball, making literally everything freeze, even the concept of time itself.
As the blast of energy surged forth from Esdeath's hand, the frigid wave enveloped everything in its path. The surrounding air turned to ice, and even the concept of time seemed to come to a halt. Ryo, caught in the frozen time, was unable to react.
The icy blast consumed him entirely, encasing his body in a solid block of ice. His consciousness faded, trapped within the frozen confines of his temporary prison. The world stood still, frozen in a moment of absolute stillness
"Fuu~ Even with my mastery this ability still puts such a huge stress over my body... But I can feel it... If I train this body... I can achieve more power. Previously I was only able to use 'Makahadoma' one time a day, but with this... Body... I might be able to use it multiple times over within a few months of time!"
"It's as if this body was enhanced to have more talent, stamina, and endurance than my so-called 'future' self. By this time I would have spent most of my energy..."
Standing up, Esdeath dusted her clothes, removing dirt as she started to walk toward Ryo. After reaching his frozen body, she stared at his face for a short while as she quickly extended her hand and caressed his 'scaly' chest as she admired it.
'To think such warrior existed...'
Her smirk widened as she reveled in her victory. "You certainly did put up a good fight," she remarked, her voice carrying a hint of admiration. "But in the end, you were no match for me."
As Esdeath withdrew her hand, she took a step back. The frozen world around them remained trapped in her icy grip, the stillness preserving their frozen battle scene. She had achieved a moment of absolute dominance, and the rush of power fueled her desire for more.
"I wished... No. I wanted to take you with me," she sighed, her voice filled with disappointment. "Quite a strong warrior and good-looking, but not strong enough."
*Swisnk*
"Sadly you shall serve as a testament to my strength and a reminder to all who dare oppose me. I will hand your head over the Imperial Capital myself!"
Without uttering any extra words, her sword cut through Ryo's body, slicing it into hundreds, if not thousands, of pieces, destroying a small golf ball-like object in Ryo's head, and leaving behind a gruesome scene of scattered body parts frozen in the air. The blue blood floated in the frozen time, almost non-distinguishable.
*Crack*
*Splash* *Splash* *Splash* *Splash*
The frozen space suddenly cracked at the time resumed as the small body chunks fell on the ground, and the small area was now covered in blue blood and black and blue body chunks. Observing the dead chunks for a short while and making sure that Ryo was dead sure, Esdeath turned away.
"Congratulations and goodbye, hope you don't meet someone like me in another life," she uttered dispassionately, as if acknowledging a mere formality, her attention already shifting away from the fallen warrior.
Then, in a display of inhuman agility, she crouched for a split second, coiling her formidable muscles, before launching herself into a breathtaking display of supersonic speed, rushing to the scene where her subordinates were resisting the Shadow Garden.
But the world had some other plans for her. As soon as she was halfway to the battlefield, her eyes suddenly darted to the ground as she instantly jumped off the ground and flew in the air using her ice to maneuver in the sky.
*Boom* *Crack* "KRAAAA!"
The ground cracked as a huge mouth full of sharp teeth popped out of the huge crevice.
"Interesting," she murmured, her voice carrying a hint of interest as she saw the huge 'Danger Beast' the size of half a mountain pop out of the ground. Her eyes instantly scanned the beast as her eyes shot up.
'This beast looks and feels like Shadow. The color, texture, and feeling. They are the same. And if this was a final trump card of theirs, it explains everything. There is a very huge chance of this beast to have regeneration without any weakness.'
Esdeath's face turned into a twisted smile as she looked at her new opponent; she extended her hands to the sky as she observed the beast jumping toward her, "Hagelsprung Ice Spike!"
With her shout a huge Ice spike with hundreds of thorny parts instantly popped out of the thin air as she sent the whole structure similar to the size of the small mountain toward the dangerous beast, causing the whole spike to block the Klaxosaur approaching her, sending it crashing down to the ground.
*SREAKKKK!* *CRACKKK* *BOOM*
Esdeath smirk turned into a frown as she looked at the beast turning its body and using its tail to destroy the whole ice spike, which was the size of a mountain.
'This is bad. After the fight with Shadow, I wasted too much of my stamina. I will have to quickly kill the beast or the whole Empire will be affected.'
With a serious face, Esdeath prepared herself to fight the beast.

*Gasp*
Gasping for air, an imaginary humanoid glowing figure found himself in a sort of 'Portal'; feeling himself going through a portal in the form of a tunnel of some sort. It was as if he was traveling to a whole another dimension.
Despite trying to 'breathe', his body choked over as he barely hung over his conscious. It was a very confusing situation as he felt his body 'adapt' to 'something' if he could say.
It was as if he was being choked, while not entirely needing the air to breathe in.
Despite all the pain, a smile formed on the figure's face. Looking down on his body, he found that he was in a sort of dark purple-ly 'Gaseous State', while having his white hair and fair skin in sight.
'All according to Keikaku...'
