Message me back if you’re still awake.
Hey. What’s up?
Flynn expected another message from Gage so he was pleasantly surprised when his boyfriend called him instead. He quickly answered it.
“Hey, man. Can’t sleep?”
“Kind of,” Flynn admitted. “Waiting for Calian to text or call. I can’t stop thinking about him every time he’s away on one of his duties.”
“Me, too. Guess we’re in the same boat then.”
“Yeah. What are you up to?”
“Watching the news online. You?”
“Same, but on the television instead. There’s a house that caught fire somewhere in Indianapolis.”
“Oh, yeah. That’s a tragedy, man. Fourteen people died. Six adults and eight children. There are some survivors, though.”
“That’s a good thing.”
“Agreed, but I can’t imagine how they must be feeling right now, especially the ones who lost their spouses and kids.”
“Same,” Flynn said. “The fire is already extinguished, and the authorities are trying to find out the source of the fire.”
