Once Warren had been dealt with, Dillon approached Darby’s other side. It was obvious Darby was still not strong enough to walk on his own. The poison must have zapped out quite a bit of his strength. Nevertheless, Dillon was sure Darby would be fine after a good night’s sleep.

“You will spend the night with us again, right?”

Darby beamed at Riordan. “Naturally.”

“Should we inform your parents about Warren?”

Darby appeared to ponder Dillon’s question for a moment before eventually sighing softly. “We better. Can’t hide that from them. Are you both ready to meet with my parents, though?”

“I’d met them before many years ago,” Riordan answered.

“It will be different this time around. You will be meeting them as my soul mate.”

“It’s not how I envisioned my first meeting with your parents would be, but I don’t mind.”
