Soon, Cam found herself in the morgue. Only a few people were there. One person looked familiar.

“Gramma Anne?” she exclaimed. “What are you doing here?”

“Quiet, Cameron,” the older woman said. “You’ll wake everyone.”

“But these people are already dead!”

“Shhh,” the older woman said. “They don’t know it yet.”

“Cameron?” said a blonde who sat on the table. “Why are you here?”

“Michael?” Cam proclaimed, “I thought you were dead.”

“She is,” Gramma Anne whispered. “But she wanted to talk to you.”

“Am I dead, too?” Cam asked.

“Not that I know of, dear,” Gramma Anne said.

“Then, how do I hear her?”

“Don’t talk about me like that, as if I wasn’t here,” Michael said. “I’ve been waiting for you to get here.”

“Sit down and talk to her,” Gramma Anne directed.

Cameron sat on the table.

“I need to tell you not to cry,” Michael said. “Your mother is here, and your brother…and father…”

“No!” Cam exclaimed. “I didn’t want you to die! Any of you. I believed I could save you!”
