Jordan’s smile this time was bright. “I really like him. I’m hoping things will work out for us.”

By the time they’d finished their conversation, they’d reached the Imperial. They thanked their driver for the lift and started down the hill into town on foot.

Introductions at the vet clinic and livery went well. Axle and the Webbers were glad to have a full-time vet on hand once again. Both vets set to work as there were patients scheduled at the pet office and horses needed attention in the livery. By the time they were done it was almost time for dinner. Neil texted Kip and asked when he and Rolf would arrive and where he and Jordan should meet them. Kip texted back to just stay at the livery, and he and Rolf would hook up with them there.

Neil and Jordan sat on a bench outside the livery and watched the tourists go by. Some were walking, others rode bikes. They were across the street from the carriage rental. They watched buggies that came and went with their tourist drivers.
