As Dan was on his way to his first farm call of the day, the Sync voice from the dash announced, “Call from Steve.”

Dan felt a swoop of pleasurable anxiety tinged with apprehension. He pressed the answer button on the steering wheel.

“Hello?” he said, his pulse rate increasing.

“Hey, Dan. Listen, I am so sorry I didn’t call you back. I was really busy. If you forgive me, I promise I’ll make it up to you big time when we get together.”

Steve’s voice conveyed just what he was implying, and Dan’s dick understood.

“Not a problem,” Dan said, a smile spreading across his face.

Steve continued. “I’d really like to take you up on the invitation to spend a couple days with you next week. Do you know when you’ll be free?”

“What days work best for you?”

“Probably Tuesday and Wednesday.”

“I’ll put in for those as comp days and let you know. Will you bring Midas?”

“I’m planning on it,” Steve said.

“Great! Lad and Lady will be happy to meet him.”
