Offering Linda a towel and wash cloth, I went into my spare bedroom to change the linen so at least she would have a clean place to rest her head and her broken heart. As I dressed the bed, I heard the shower turn on. Thinking about her wet body, all slippery and sorrowful, caused my mind to drift in a way it had never done before.
