“Uh,” Barry began. “I don’t know what to say. It should be me thanking you guys. Before I arrived in Springs I didn’t know what to do with my life. But you gave this Englishman—”

“Ex-Englishman,” Jimmy insisted.

Barry smiled, “Let’s go with former Englishman. Well, you gave me shelter and made me feel welcome. I have no idea how much money the game will make, so please don’t, uh, bet the ranch on it. You guys are the main breadwinners for the ranch, this was just my way of trying to do my bit. And…” Barry could feel tears begin to threaten. “And that’s quite enough maudlin sentiment from me. Anyone want seconds?”

Thankfully everyone did and Barry was able to get back to what he did best, feeding cowboys.
