Liam’s gift was various pieces of tack, each embossed with Moonlight Shadow and Barry Logan

“This is all wonderful. Thank you,” Barry said, deeply moved by their generosity. He’d only known these men a couple of months and here they were, buying him expensive gifts. “I feel like a real cowboy now.”

“There’s still our gift,” Jimmy said.

“But.” Barry touched the shirt and gestured to the remains of the cake.

“They were only parts,” Jake said, accepting a large box from Liam and setting it on the table in front of Barry.

As with the shirt, the box had been tied with both blue and red ribbons. This caused a few rolled eyes from the hands.

Barry had to seriously fight back tears when he opened the box. They’d bought him a black felt Stetson. It looked identical to the ones Jimmy and Jake wore.

“See the hat band?” Jimmy said, pointing to it.
