Capítulo 21: Testing the Strength
In front of an iron bar, with plates, a hundred kilos on each side, Gwen was bending down, and preparing to get up.
Holding the bar, Gwen struggled to stand up, but unlike what she expected, she rose easily, and as she had pushed too hard, she lost her balance, but with her improved reflexes, she managed to quickly regain her balance.
Seeing what Gwen did, I couldn't help but laugh, and I said, "It looks like you're stronger than you think."
Seeing me laughing at her, Gwen got a blush on her face, and said, "Jon, don't laugh."
"Okay, I won't laugh anymore, but let's continue the strength test, I think two hundred and fifty, on each side, and a good weight, seeing how easy it was to lift that weight."
And so we increased the weight, until we reached a limit of six tons, which didn't surprise me, as I was already expecting it.
Seeing all the weight she could lift, Gwen was shocked, even scared.
Seeing her reaction, I walked over to her, hugged her, and said, "No need to be scared."
Realizing that I hugged her, she was going to hug me back, but gave up halfway, and said, "Jon, I'm not scared, I'm just afraid to hurt someone, with my strength."
Hearing what she said, I let go of the hug, and looking her in the eye, I said, "Gwen, don't worry, let's control your strength, as we control your power, I know you can do it."
Listening to what I said, she perked up a little, and hugged me, calmly, probably afraid of hurting me, what she doesn't know is that, even if she were a hundred times stronger, she would be able to hurt me.
And so we continued, with the other tests, to check her limit, when we finished it, we started the control tests, which she quickly mastered, much to her happiness.
Seeing that it's four o'clock in the afternoon, and we haven't had lunch yet, I said, "Gwen, let's go to my house, we can eat, and also take a shower, plus I've already called Peter, Harry and Liz, to celebrate my birthday , there in my house".
"Sure we go, I really need a shower, but there's a problem, I didn't bring any clothes to change."
"Don't worry, I already ordered an outfit of your size, when we arrive it will already be there."
Gwen spoke confused, "when did you order the clothes?"
"A minute ago," I said with a smile.
Hearing my answer, Gwen sighed, and said, "I should know by now".
And so we got in the car, and headed towards my house, on the way we talked again, about normal matters.
Arriving at my house, I parked the car, and Gwen and I got out of it, and headed toward the front door.
When we entered my house, Natalie, which is the name of Natasha's disguise, greeted us.
"Welcome Sir Jon, and Miss?".
"Thanks Natalie, this is Gwen, she came for my birthday, a few more friends will be arriving in a few hours," I replied.
"It's ok sir, you can leave the reception with me, besides the clothes you ordered arrived".
"Thanks, me and Gwen are going to take a shower, you could pick up the clothes that arrived, for Gwen."
