As Nuru and Norchelle continued to gaze at Aragon, Vaises couldn't help but feel jealous of the attention Aragon was receiving. He clenched his fists tightly, gritting his teeth, as he watched Aragon leave.
Aragon left the room, and then Vaises shouted.
"Mother, what are you doing?"
Nuru composed herself and looked at Vaises.
Aragon walked out of the room, and the soldier became confused and ran behind Aragon.
"Why do you yell like that?" Nuru said, narrowing her eyes.
"What were you doing, staring like that?" Vaises pressed his tone.
Nuru raised her brow and gave him an intense glare. "It seems you have been lacking manners these days."
Norchelle got up and said, "I'm off to my chambers, mother."
She walked over to Nuru and kissed her on the cheek, then left the room.
Nuru continued to glare at him.
"We will talk later," she said, and she too left the room.
