Capítulo 36: Acting Just Like A Street Thug?

The sound of hooves and the sonorous march of the army cadenced across the valleys as they ventured towards the city. A line of supply wagons was following behind them, like a never-ending snake slithering within the deep ravines of austerity.

Ruddeth rode upon a black horse; a glowing white mane was draped towards the side. Its eyes were a piercing shade of red, making long streaks of light as it advanced. With firm muscles that squirmed and rippled silver light at the slightest movements, it was clearly a grade higher than the common horses, for it was a breed that could use aether.

“So you already latched onto another horse? I heard the soldiers say your favourite horse was killed a while ago,” Selena said.

Ruddeth stayed silent.

“Who might possibly kill such a thing?” Selena asked.

No response.

“Humph! Such an insincere man, what favourite horse? How could you forget all the years of bonding you had with it on a whim?”

Ruddeth gritted his teeth.
