Jackie wondered if Nadia was in the house. Her eyes darted around discreetly.
Bob noticed it and said, “She’ll be in her room. We have this place all to ourselves.”
“Oh,” she giggled, not realizing she had made it so obvious.
“Let’s have a shower first then come back here for champagne. We have so much to talk about,” he said as he slipped his arm behind her waist.
She was momentarily stunned. Shower? In his room? She hadn’t expected him to be so direct. She felt her heart thumping as he led her toward his room, but she didn’t resist.
When he opened the door, she gasped.
“Oh, Bob. It’s beautiful… I’m so impressed!” she squealed and threw her arms around his neck before she rewarded him with a kiss.
The timber floor was strewn with a trail of rose petals leading to the sprawling bed. More petals covered the soft silken sheets and two bathrobes were neatly piled on the edge of the bed.
If there was one way to win a woman’s heart, this was it.
