Capítulo 249: Two is better than one

After the pleasant chat with Arabeus Malva, I wave happily while he leaves. He's visibly tired but not as disappointed by the encounter.

I smile when our eyes meet, making him notice how happy I am that his message will reach the King, not just me. Then, when the door is closed, I lean back on the sofa in Ignis's arms.

«I'm exhausted,» I say.

«Don't tell me,» is his reply. He chuckles and pecks my forehead.

«I want to see Lars,» I complain. «It's so difficult to be a Queen and a Saint, but seeing my son is enough to make up for most of the fatigue.»

«It's the same for me,» Ignis says. «Seeing you and Lars makes me forget every bad news and problem. It makes me remember who I'm doing all of this for.»

«Who?»

«For you,» he says. Only later does he realise I just want to hear him say it out loud.

«I didn't hear it; can you repeat?»

«I'm doing it for you and our son.»

«And for the other children we will have?»
