Capítulo 209: The hour before a battle

We reached the area that Borea conquered early in the morning. We departed during the night to be here with the first rays of the sun.

Ignis and I could sleep in the carriage, more or less.

His wound still hurts, even though less than before. Thanks to Aida, he didn't start bleeding after the bumpy road.

The lands we cross are poor and full of smoke. Some villages are still burning but there's no one to turn the flames down. Everybody left.

Soldiers crowd the place, and no one seems to have enough will to live. However, it's only an impression.

Soldiers are human beings. It becomes evident when they sing in the evenings, before sleeping. They laugh, joke with each other, and have powerful voices. It's nice to listen to them while sinking into slumber. It keeps reminding me who we are fighting for. For our people.
