Golbat used quick attack to move quickly towards butterfree, and was about to use poison fang but then Butterfree summoned a spherical shaped screen. It used protect, and golbat only bit the screen not butterfree.
Golbat then used quick attack again to move back quickly, and butterfree's attempt to use stun spore was missed.
This butterfree is pretty independent even without it's trainer's orders. I'm also training my pokemon in that direction so that they
won't be dependent on me when fighting.
"Butterfree, electroweb."
"Golbat, air cutter."
Butterfree used electroweb but the electric threads was cut apart with air cutter. Golbat then used haze to make smoke again, and butterfree used whirlwind to remove the smoke.
Golbat though used confuse ray when the butterfree was about to use whirlwind. The confuse ray was hiding on the smoke, and this made Butterfree surprised when it finished removing the smoke.
It got hit with it making it confused, and golbat used that chance to use air cutter.
"Butterfree, use whirlwind to surround yourself."
Butterfree then used whirlwind even if it was confused, and this negated golbat's air cutter. The air cutter just whirled around the whirlwind making it so that butterfree negated the attack. Valerie has many techniques which are new, and it's making me enjoy this fight since I'm learning a lot from it.
"Golbat, venoshock."
Golbat flew on top of the whirlwind then summoned a rain of poison. This showered the butterfree inside, and even made the whirlwind turn into a purple color.
Soon the whirlwind stopped but it looks like the butterfree got more confused than before. It also has many purple marks indicating that it's poisoned.
"Butterfree, use rest."
"Golbat, quick attack then air slash."
Golbat flew quickly towards butterfree but it seems that move was unnecessary since butterfree didn't use rest. It looks like it got so confuse that it doesn't hear it's trainer's order anymore, or maybe it's so confuse that it can't sleep.
Golbat still flew towards it, and then used air slash. This made butterfree knocked out, and this signalled the que that the fight is over.
"You've done great, kid. Wait for a moment, I'll just heal my butterfree then we'll talk." Valerie said as she heals her pokemon through healing items.
"You did well, golbat. Let's train some more in the future, and use some of the things we've learn from the fight. Also, use your confuse ray immediately when a battle starts. I think that's a useful strategy to do." I said while petting him.
Golbat screeched as a reply, and it flapped it's wings more as I pet him.
"Alright, here take this, kid. It's a certificate that shows that you beated the tower. Just give this to the person in the front desk of the gym, and they'll know that you've accomplished the task required to challenge the gym." Valerie said as she gives me a piece of paper.
"Thank you, ma'am." I said my thanks, and was about to say goodbye but was stopped by her.
"Also, I'm giving you this item. It's an item given to all the trainers who clears our tower. It's a bug charm. You can make your beedrill wear it, and it will help in increasing it's bug type moves' damage." Valerie explains as she give me a green necklace with a butterfree design.
"Thank you for the gift, ma'am. I appreciate it." I said while bowing my head.
"It's fine, and it's a natural thing to receive from our tower. Anyway, you can also buy some more of that item in here so if you want more then just come here." Valerie said. It seems they are giving this item for free to do some advertising as well. Since, I'm going to use the item then many will see it, and this can make others know of it's existence.
It's a great marketing strategy, and I'm being used by it but I'm not complaining since I got it for free.
"Here, beedrill. Wear it, and make sure to cherish it." I said to beedrill, and I can see her happiness from receiving it. Golbat looks jealous but I don't blame him.
"Don't worry, buddy. We'll find an item for you too." I said, and golbat screeched.
"Then you can go now, kid. I also have to leave since I have some massage time with my friends. Goodbye." Valerie then run off fast, leaving me behind without me being able to say my farewell.
With that, I got down of the tower, and saw the twins in front of the gates.
"Hey, Vanessa and Vedalia. What are you doing here? I thought you're leaving already?" I asked.
"Yeah but we're still waiting for someone." Vanessa explains.
"Oh, then I shall accompany you two while you wait." I said since I want to get into their good books.
"Aww that's so sweet of you. You're so young that I wish I have a younger brother like you." Vedalia said while messing up my hair which annoyed me a lot. This made my pettiness surfacing since I want to pinch her cheeks to get my revenge.
I wanted to do it but I forced myself not too since I want to look good in front of them.
"I can be your younger brother if you want." I said to both of them since they wanted to have a younger brother then I'll take that chance to make a good connection with them.
"Really!? Then you'll call me older sister from now on. Try it, quickly." Vedalia said while Vanessa was chuckling from Vedalia's action.
"Older sister." I said, and Vedalia mess up my hair harder. I frowned from her action, and I wanted to just smack those hands that's messing up my hair but I remember my plan to act nice making me stop.
"Aww, it's cute to hear that. Since, we'll be your older sisters from now on then I'll give you a gift to celebrate it. Here take this bracelet. This is a bracelet from our clan, and it makes bug type pokemon feel closer to those who are wearing it. You try it on." Vedalia said while making me wear a bracelet with a butterfree design on it.
