Capítulo 10: monster
As he was still trying to put the flame off, the sky darkened, and several minutes later some thunderbolts can be seen.
"Looks like it is going to rain", Ken thought. "Let's hope it could put this fire off...", he wished.
As the rain started pouring, at first lightly, Ken had an expectant look, it then gradually grew stronger as Ken's expression grew grimmer, "Haa, of course it's not that easy.", just as he said that, his limbs that were cut off started healing, although slower than his normal healing, it's still quite fast with the fire surrounding his torso was still there unmoved, making him look like a man with with flaming armor with no pants... that didn't sound right.
"How does this work? A rain.. is it empowering my healing? Argh where is Aion when I need her", He said frustratingly. He then made an ice mirror in front of him but immediately melted because apparently, the flames are actually so hot, He then tried to make an ice block at the furthest distance he can, which is 100 meters, He made it big so that he could see it, of course it's not clear because of the distance"
"Wow, cool, now I just need a pants or something or this is definitely a bad look", Ken thought as he looked at the glass mirror. He then looked around and decided to take a tour around the forest.
After he was completely healed, which took half a day, He landed a bit far from a seemingly abandoned shed that he found while he wandered The rain had stopped a couple of hours ago and he also felt that his energy was returning to normal. His appearance was basically naked with only his flame covering his upper body and nothing on the lower body.
But He was immediately put in a dillema, he didn't want to burn his new house, so he pondered for a while, "damn that dwarf, or whoever that even is, I can't really see but Aion called him a dwarf so I guess.. this fire... not only too hot but also made it inconvenient, I had to constantly drop the temperature to not even burn the trees", he sighed, as he felt the flow inside his body getting weaker since the rain stopped and he had to constantly do the flow to maintain low temperature, which was still hot because of the flame, but didn't burn anything not adjacent. He then decided to fly up and saw another destination, the volcano. "I guess I will have to do with that huh", he said as he flew there.
"They said volcano rocks are the most resistant to fire, I guess that's true", he said as he conjured a rock-skirt around his lower part. "It's heavy though... of course", he sighed.
"Let's just not wear anything for now", He said as he dismantled the rock-skirt. He then sat there relaxedly and started thinking again, "this is driving me nuts, are these even common sense?, being burnt with an indistinguishable fire, sitting inside an active volcano naked.. let's just think about my power I guess.", he stopped thinking about unnecessary things and focused on how exactly and how many powers he had,
"So currently I know that I'm immune to heat, fire, cold, and supposedly ice. Hmm, I remember that mayor said there is three elements, gas, liquid, solid.. Wait, where does fire belong to? gas? I guess Gas right?", He pondered and then looked at his body, "If I'm not mistaken, fire needs oxygen to keep burning, so if I removed the oxygen..", Ken thought with an ecstatic expression, He then controlled the air around him as he blew away all gas around him, after just a few seconds, he was immediately suffocated and the bloods that flew through all his veins bursted outside, making the scene a bloodfest, he immediately retracted his power because of his lack of focus, his vision also blurred and he got unconscious.
After a couple of minutes, he woke up like nothing happened and realized he was in a puddle of his own blood, he then stood up to get away from it. As he walked he suddenly realized, the flame is still there but a bit weaker.
"This is certainly not physics, right?", he complained because as far as he knew, fire cannot continue burning without oxygen. "Where is the physics god when you need him?", he sighed.
"Heeyy Aion heree", his voice resounded in his head. "Whoaa who's there, get away from my head."
"Impolite brat!", Aion shouted angrily. She then continued, "I am Aion the god of cycle how could you forget me?".
"Impossible, Aeon isn't someone cheerful like you!", Ken refused to believe that solemn annoying god could be cheerful.
"Fine, if you don't want me to explain anything, I'm out!"
"Eh? No wait, please, queen Aion, your majesty.. uhh please stay for a moment"
"Go on", Aion answered.
"I-I'm s-sorry", Ken stuttered. "If I may know, what could possibly happened that you came to me in a happy aura?", Ken said awkwardly.
"I guess I will let you know, Genesis came to me", she said. "What? Oh, I mean.. what happened then?", Ken said.
"Let's just say I got a deal with him and it made me happy, but at the same time confused", she said.
"What's the deal about?", Ken's curious. "It's about you. Don't worry, it's not something harmful", she answered.
"At first I thought he was interested in you and wanted you to be his follower, but no, instead he offered you his help with his system law".
"Was it like back then? That notification window thing?", Ken asked.
"No, that was his way of gaining a follower, this help that he mentioned though... He is giving you his divine power, the same as me.", she said.
"Initially, giving power comes with a requirement for it, for example, me giving you the law of cycle comes with your body which was mine to begin with because I made it so it can be classified that you have given your body to me, but he didn't", she explained.
"Uh.. so? What's different this time?", Ken was still confused.
"You know, you shouldn't be this stupid even if your IQ didn't increase since birth"
"Just explain it already!", Ken said bashfully, remembering how his IQ didn't increase since elementary school.
"He gave you a power.. for free! You still didn't get it? You humans should know best that nothing is free.
"Not that it's bad, but still, I feel something is off, and not for me but for you, because this deal basically gave me his power through you, I just don't understand why."
"Oh c'mon maybe he's just bored like you or maybe he's interested in me, you know, maybe I'm just that impressive", Ken gloated.
Aion ignored him and just realized that his vessel was burning and naked.
"You know you can just use another fire to cover your bird right?", she said.
"Bird? Oh of course", Ken agreed and made a fire pants. "But the problem remains, I can't go anywhere without burning the environment", he sighed.
"So what? Just do it then", she answered.
"What do you mean just do it? You want me to burn the whole world?", He asked.
"This world isn't as fragile as your earth, my law is strong here so everything would go back to normal faster than a backwater world like your earth", she said. "Besides, those dwarf probably burnt more", she then continued.
"Is there really no way to distinguish this fire?"
"Actually, you could go to north pole or south pole and use that technique you used to kill that elf."
"Ah that would work", he said as he took off.
"Oh and also don't call me Aeon, I am Aion! Remember that!", she said as she disappeared.

two days ago, the elf forest...
The runaway elves arrived at their home hastily, looking grim. When the elf guard saw this, he immediately asked one of the runaway elves,
"What happened?", the guard asked.
"A monster appeared", the elf said in a low voice while shuddering
"What? Hey, speak clearly", the guard continued to stare at this elf, demanding explaination, another elf guard then approached him and said to him, "let them be, maybe the dwarf did something again, just send them to the medic tent"
"N-No, let me finish", the asked elf said with a louder voice. He then continued, "..., Elarc... He is dead"
"WHAT?", the two guards said together with wide eyes. "This isn't the time for a joke!"
"But I'm serious! Please report this for her majesty", the elf said solemnly.
The guard then looked at him and took a deep breath, "Haa so his time came at last huh", he then turned at his friend, "take them to the medic tent for checkup, I will report this", he said as he walked towards the main gate.
His friend was still not believing these things but did his job anyway, the more he thought about it, the more fearful he became. He had witnessed Elarc's poweress, extreme vitality, high element affinity, basically the strongest in the whole village with many achievement, yet he died to one entity. No matter how he put this, it's just unbelievable.
The medic tent was located in an area outside the main wall, and inside the wide barricade, It's an area that's used for emergencies and healings.
The area was quite large with many tents with elves getting treated. If one looked further in a corner, there are also several small people with chains getting tortured. In some tents, there are also some human acting as a servant with some even had a slave ring on their neck and could be seen doing chores, most of them woman.
The elf guard entered through the little door beside the main gate and entered, when he entered he was greeted by a spacious and large forest road, there are so many trees on the side but didn't make one feel suffocated as the road itself was as wide as the main gate which was quite huge. There was a river in the middle of the road and one could see that a bit further away, the river split when met with a huge tree, forming a circle around the tree. The place really looked like a city with many elves walking about too.
Elves are creatures of nature and they weren't fond of damaging the nature so all these seemingly artificial work are actually controlled by the nature itself which take the world tree as it's center.
He took a platform on the river to the large tree in the center of the forest, the platform was made of wood and tree roots, there are several elves standing on it already. There are roots that locked the elves feet to the wooden plank as a form a security, below the wooden platform was multiple vines that seemed to control the wooden platform.
After a while the platform moved, first slow and gradually getting faster, as it approaches it's destination, the wooden platform slowed down. When it arrived at the destination, the guard stepped down and ran towards the large tree and stood in front of one of it's root.
"Pardon me, your majesty, I am requesting your time for a small report", the guard said respectfully. Right after he said that, the root moved aside, revealing a double door behind it, which the guard promptly entered.
