"Mom, what did you just say?"

The phone in Kylie Morales's hand suddenly fell to the ground.

Hallie Morgan stood there frozen, looking at Kylie's face. It seemed to wilt rapidly, losing all traces of color. She looked so lifeless, stunned and dazed.

"SisterMercy, what's wrong?"

Hallie quickly picked up the phone and saw the name 'Mom' displayed on the screen.

Kylie started trembling all over.

"My father's been jailed, Hallie. My Mother just told me. My father has been jailed. What should I do?"

Hallie jumped in shock.

"SisterMercy, don't panic. I'll take you home. We'll see what's happening once we get there."

"Oh, okay…"

It seemed that Kylie just snapped back to reality. She murmured, "Yes, I need to go home. I must go home."

The chauffeur-driven car took them all the way to Kylie's home.
