Run... run... Mai whispered in her heart. She was thankful that with their distance, Aaron wouldn't be able to snatch Karyn's gun as her friends thought. At least Mai wouldn't drag other people into her troubles, she thought.

Mai almost closed her eyes, giving in to her destiny, forgetting her original intention to fight back. How can she fight if Mai feels her legs go weak, she doesn't even dare to move an inch.

Mai hopes Boban can prevent Karyn's evil intentions but her heart tells Boban that it might not work. The deafening sound made Mai's soul feel detached from her body or maybe her soul would be released tonight.

It was a few seconds of silence for her until she started to feel. a tight grip on her arm, making her arm ache. Wait? Arm? Strange... Karyn was shooting but she felt nothing but pain in her arm. After all, who had gripped her arm this tightly, kept Mai in place, unable to move an inch.
