Ryley halted for a while, but then politely rejected, "I'm so sorry but I have to go to Hyacinthia's office after this." His soft brown eyes glanced at the watch coiling his wrist before he added, "There's a press conference I need to attend."

This was the sole reason Ryley couldn't visit his parents in Arizona for too long. The blond only stayed overnight and returned to New York in the morning to catch up with his schedule. 

He quietly heaved a deep sigh while striking an apologetic smile, feeling relieved that he had a good reason to reject Sean's invitation. Ryley didn't want to cause another rift between him and Clyde. He knew how painful it was when he found out Clyde was hanging out with Marsha in a jewelry store after he cooked for their dinner and waited for him in the penthouse like a stupid fool.
