It was almost ten when he finally got into the private jet, trying his best to ignore the vacant seat in front of him.

His slender figure sat by the window with blanket covering his legs that he hugged to his chest, eyes wandering far to the pouring rain at the airport that night.

With only 20% of remaining power he faithfully waited for the other side to pick up, and not long after a worried voice came to his ear.

"Ryley? When are you going to come home? Are you still in the hotel?"

Ryley blankly stared at his reflection on the window with a faint smile on his pale face. He couldn't help but feel guilty for lying to his mother.

"Mom… Sorry… I'm going back to New York…" he answered, swallowing the bitterness between his creased brows.

"You're going back to New York already?!" Rena replied with shock. "But why so fast?" She added, staring at the shredded cheese on the cutting board.
